Why do you like/dislike GMS?

i don't really like them but not in a same way like kaz.
as most people, i started to like them when i was new to the scene. but after some while their music started to sound the same and honsetly, i can't (and couldn't) recall the names of most of their tracks.

asaf i didnt say they invented...
i said they "kinda" invented.
cause they made full on what it is today.
and thats a fact.
no matter if you like it or not (this style)...
so you get my point ?
if it wasnt for GMS i realy dont think the scene was like it is today.
im pretty sure.
but thats just me...
and anyway i think its all just a matter of taste.
you cant realy explain taste.
but you can try.

kaz, as meat loaf would say, u took the words right out of my mouth.... i like EVERY style of psychedelic music (yes, every, and for me also deep house or psychedelic rock is psychedelic). I'm into psymusic since 5 years, thats a bit more less than 1/3 of my live (its true...). since 1999 i'm diggin almost progressive/minimal works but i started liking fullon/"real" goa some months ago too.
but, it soon got boring. especially the gms sound. gms created a formula, and are following this formula constantly. sure every artists creates his own formula too, but decided varied, but in gms music i can't hear this variety. its just same building, same sounds/lines and all filled with the same energy....i havent seen a live act of them, and i cant really imagine, becoz i like live's with ups and downs and also changing formulas.....gms should think of something new...
tracks which i like are the rescuers and gladiator.

the work i like from them is : on a mission from god (and almost all the growly family album for the fucking positive vibe that comes from it) , no rules(the track, amazing!!!) , their new project growlmonizer , some old zorba(like the ones on the movers & groovers 2) , i also like psychedelic circus (what a killer bassline !!!!!!!!) , i also like the 1200 mics exstasy (what another fucking bassline !!!!!!), i also love the rmx of younger brother for the fuckiiiiiiiiiiiing killer bassline !!!!!!
but they release many many shits....... like many tracks on the 1200 mics album ..........
some rmx that are just useless with no interest (the i'm real rmx............ what's the point ????)
well, this is just my opinion and many of u will disagree of course :D

Hell ya i think we all loved gms! Groovey squeaqy freaky sounds was my favourite a few years ago, tentactles och a jellyfish, Yashu and that whole album was just amazing for its time... now i realy dont know... havent heard them for over a year...

GMS....... What a psicadelic sound they make.
Their sound is very good.I went to several GMS partys in portugal and i cant discribe how is the ambient.When they play the ppl went crazy.

GMS.. psychedelic? Jesus christ.. how much drugs do you take? If you find "boom ts, boom ts" psychedelic.. well.. that's a little bit odd if you ask me..

I like them because they are good remixers and because some tracks of them are real party killers.
I dont like them when they make music just to fill out some albums or to just sell some tracks to compilations.
Traveller if you have a problem with GMS then why you open a thread about them?
Just open a 'Why i hate GMS' thread and express yourself.

This is a little bit of the topic, but does anybody know when GMS is coming to BAY AREA again? The first FUSION I went to (possibly my very first psytrance gathering in 1999?) this guys made a BIG impression on me, can you say "crowd control"? |

they are kick ass performers thats for sure....
last time i saw them they made a big impression on me too.

and btw traveller dude i enjoy GMS and think they are psychedelic too...
