why do ppl like progresive trance? i go 2 partys & i canot dance with prog, i suffer realy bad when i hear it! its not psy and have no soul (even electro is nice and psy)
i see only girls & x ppl dancing is it a age thing? pls help me understand this kind of style. |

i was in party and from the begining dj played prog ....nobody were dancing until alien project and quadra at 5:00 morning bring to the ppl what they want.....
i like prog but its not "dance" music like fullon
and prog has many psy elements but !

yep guys ok.. i'm on psy-trance mostly also, but haven't you asked yourselves if the progressive audience thinks the same thing about psy too?
laughs and love with something you're happy with; don't hate and critisize the 'other' ppl.

for me progressive music gives me something "more" than the other subgenre's of psy.
a good progressive tune builds up patiently. while it is building up it will provide a great groove. normally it will induce me in a more hypnotic state.
Allowing me to be able "trance out" for a much longer period of time then some of the other music.
This is why at "good" Prog parties you see people stompin and groovin for hours and hours.....because it is for me a more hynoptic style of music....
A good progressive track will be grooving patiently building up and while it is building up new sounds are 'progressively' being layered on top. Creating a more busy track.
Sounds on top of sounds being constantly layered on top of each other.
as it is coming to the moment of 'climax' the sounds are pumping but it never gets to a moment of explosion....with high pitched sounds, steady driving beats, great bass lines, rippin pads and "psychelic" samples......i relate it to sex........when you are about to orgasm, but instead of having that orgasm. You maintain the moment of climax without ever having that orgasm........Its a great feeling.....Just keeping it right there for a period of a couple of minutes......... providng me moments of pure exhiliration.....
Instead of some of the other music.....where the artist immediately "blows his wad" to begin with..
Of course i am generally speaking.
Anyway....
This is why progressive trance is my favorite of them all.....
and as far as having "no soul" and not being "psy"............HAAAAA
well, since it is a matter of point of view. I will just have to swallow that pill.

it is true that about hipnotic music ...that is why i like prog dispite the fact that i like layers... a tons of layers and ...
screaming melodies ... and i h8 full on with his acid disco dance elements ...
hm Magox did a good relation with sex (i found out 2 that people can be so stupid and if you compare something with sex everybody will understand )
so i will compare full on with sex 2 !
it is like a sex ...a very bad one (with few times at year exception )... most of the time it has a standard formula it goes with standard tempo which is so boring and then a few times before climax it stops ...goes ...stops ....goes imagine a porno in your
head that goes trrrrrrrrrtcccccccctrrrrr do you think that woman likes it ... and we are back again with part that usually lasts for 5 min
tup---tup---tup---tup again... and it is bad sex couse you are waiting 2 stop fucking you that way and want something more... you want to feel yourself free to close eyes to relax and enjoy
then for last 2 minutes it is some sort of climax
and that is it ...it is already over... it stops ...
no foreplay ...bad and boring first part and no orgasm just guy screaming mommy 
btw i h8 pussy/gay progress house that'' they ''put in our vagina/asshole more than full on but there is a lot of great
atmosferic psychedelic and groovy progres like from Zenon
which today is best fucker in that style

imo prog is definately psychedelic (some of it atleast) but i cant dance to most of it... usually too slow - i listen to prog at home tho but i hardly go to prog only parties |

...because i can fly
its a matter of taste but try to open your mind when you hear prog and think positive.

i think alot of the progressive trance have way more soul that "psy" trance of 2006. most full on isnt psychedelic at all, its more like an aggressive tiesto on pcp. Killaargh!
but everything goes, it depends on my mood |

some prgressive is good other bad, and so on for every music style
if it's good i dance and party if it's bad then i don't go
but that's oh so subjective and moment dependant that i can "put it in a rule" for myself

easy solution.
The kids go with the Fullon and the grown-ups go with the progressive. One final split up.
And while we are at it. Leave House alone. It's doing fine in it's own scene. It has for years.
Ok I exacterated a bit but there is some truth behind it. Some say all genres should live happily together in the same parties. I disagree - strongly. I do not go to a party to listen to music I know 100% is not my cup of tea. If I go to a party I do not want to waste my time and money listening to yet another 145+ E-kiddo with his laptop thinking he's the next Megaraver star.
I got my taste you got your taste. Great! Ergo the solution is to keep my music away from your music. It's the only scene I know where some people think there is room for everything and the end result is mediocre unprofessional parties with confusing and non flowing line-ups mostly dominated by the Megarave stars and some proggy pause fish so the organizers can say "Look I am cool and up to date. I also book progressive".
Do us all a favour. Leave the progressive alone. There are plenty of people who do proper progressive parties where progressive is not seen as some 2nd hand music to support the Megarave stars.
So again. Split up the scene. I think it's time and I know I do not really want to be associated with MTV alike raves and their music. I surely dont want to party together with those people and their music. Yes I am narrowminded so shoot me. I would probably also just spoil their fun bitching at them and their music all night
