i haven't come around to the forum in ages.....but this disrespectful tone by many of u to XP bothers me......
XP has worked hard in the goa scene....played many good parties.... he doesn't deserve to be dissed like this. Where is the PLUR?
there may be people on both sides - those who like him and those who don't.....but surely he has worked hard....that alone deserves some respect.
he is russian and his english is not the best....so pardon his inability to communicate his exact thoughts and try to understand his post before u dis it.
XP - trying to dig deeper - is the issue this?
If Dark is the real Psychedelic and Morning is the cheezy psy, are you upset that you are clubbed in with the "morning lot of Djs", even though you were originally in the "dark parasense" crew.
If that is so, then the choice you made is yours. Your personal taste leaned towards the morning side....or it made more financial sense.
paul van dyk/tiesto can't come around asking why ppl use the word psychedelic trance...all trance is trance....and psychedelic is a negative term....drugs and all that....
It is the Djs who create the "specialization" based on their personal tastes and segregate the crowd. Crowd that likes his taste, follows.....
Everybody likes to pretend that they are the real psychedelic ppl and therefore keep throwing the word "dark" around to make themseleves look like hardcore underground ppl.
next step - the morning Djs will further specialize into Dark Morning etc....cos everyone will hate the fluffiness... then it will become too expensive to hire Djs for every hour....then the market will return to the original.....
having one Dj who knows his night-time music and his morning set and crafts a beautiful story/journey in sync wth the crowd...and things will be back to a true psychedelic party...
fragmentation and then consolidation again...rules of the market.
perhaps this is what you meant.....this is what I understood.

well i have reached the conclusion that when i am standing next 2 x.p. voodoo i canīt use the word dark 2 describe a sonority..it will hurt him kinda like kriptonite

see u have the possibilitie 2 choose...so why canīt i use the word?just because u donīt think it will fit your standarts?man donīt worry and listen 2 some cool kdd tracks..night or dark what u prefer

The origin of the word "voodoo".

to jyxx.They suted me.is name.I had to pay this guys moslty all what I win in a court when I suted Bill Geits for using word XP.
Not fare,but after they permited me to use voodoo name and I can get free updates for Windows,it is quite ok. |

It was mentioned to be creative topic for this "DARK" side of the trance.
Actually,after all this replyes,I can sadly put down this topic a big fat line,and consider that the creative minds in this area are absent.

iīm listening to "dark" music since 10 years or so...
dark wave, dark electro, dark metal....
and so i think a bit dark trance is welcome to me... i know of 3 artists that make sound i quite like: xenomorph, the delta and dark soho.
any other recommendations welcome... |
