Why Dark ?
So you can lose yourself at night ...
only to find yourself in the morning...
It gives the sunrise meaning. Even though I love 5-7AM the most, I wouldnt want to goto a party which was stuck in that time. |

here in portugal i remember that a lot of people from "the dark side"gothic heavy metal dark metal evil metal wathever metal a few years ago make funny the "colorfull people"that goes to trance parties that listen to trance is very funny that when i come to them with my head phones plaing some trance track they make funny of me and guess what many of them rigth now goes to parties and when i talk about the days when they make funny of me they tell me to change subject!!!!and i think to my self whats the personality of this people bring some LIGTH to this dark people because they need to be einligthened.

fck, very dark ten pages!
what u think I mean...yea, not good.
there seem to be lot of agendas here and very few are really answering XP (all u dark people)...all he is trying to say is that the word dark for any kind of psychedelic music is negative association, and that when we once start using the term, it creates a whole unwanted consciousness of its own...
simple...see that anyone?
personally, I agree with you XP, instead of Dark, the term Night is better, more pure and less misleading
its just that the term Dark is emotional while Night is not so much, and people I guess like a more emotional bond with their sound...its a dilemma no doubt...but sure, your point is stronger...I will start calling it Night Psy from now on, Mr Voodoo  |

i agree with fryday..had same thoughts for a while already.. dark is not same as agressive and indeed most that night killer psy lacks the emotion to be truelly dark...imho ofcourse 
ill push u over the edge, and will be smiling when u cant take anymore, at that point ill push a little harder till u experience true psychdelica |

im happy to find this topic! i dunno why too much ppl call everything dark; what didnt sounds like usual mainstream!It looks that we want to be different as morning fullon, so we give other name!
also i think if we call dark so we are more cool  !
myself didnt find anything dark in musik like penta, kdd, parasense etc! maybe Xenomorph, Matutero we find dark atmospheres, but is this the style of they music? Arent there a lot more things in the track?
Looks we are lack of creativity for give suitably names to describe? |

Well i think is totaly the opposite! U dont have to name,split on patterns, separate from Prog, Psy or GOA. WE ARE JUST FEELING, wat is more dark,heavy,obscure or tralalal as xp said. THE WORLD IS PASSIN THROUGH A DARK ERA, n thats a fact, not really interpretative or subjective. ITS A FACT, that wat we see its not a peaceful comunion of ppl everywhere. So thats my question "This way the world is now, is even havin influence on PSYTRANCE producing, or the PSYTRANCE scene is changed because music had "grow older" n theres no space to sooo happy glittering plim plim plim fluff music anymore? Besides, in the end theres only 2 kind of music as always: the good ones n the bad ones. No matter if its techno,rumba,psy,dark,electro,house,samba,tango or whatever..... |

It seems that all shine happy people that used to live a paralel life from society, enjoyin the life from party to party, country to country, place to place only for the music n the union of having the same feeling, its obscured by the way of money has taken from some smaller minds that r selling theyr souls to become "Trance Business People". So some ppl cant find themselves into this anymore. DARK today represents a inner feeling to many ppl. Trying to regress to a non-commercial underground way it used to be. From producers to those "who remembers" the good old days and the young generation, borned into this, Dark has stabilished a comun sense between diferent ppl.
"We cant runaway from ourselves"...n now we´r living this DARK feeling that we builted yesterday. |
