Don't play tunes that have odd bar arrangements. Serves them smart asses right for wanting to be "different" by doing that shit instead of actually making different sounding music that works well on the floor.

To answer your question, I've found a couple of other good mixout points, but they're so early in the track that I've scarcely finished mixing IN to it at that point. So it's not practical, especially since I need to give myself time to pick the next track anyway.

Well if you use Audacity why dont you edit the offending song?

You seem to have put barriers up for yourself that just don't need to be there.

Because then I'd have to rip, edit, and re-burn the track, and I'd no longer be playing it off the original CD. Also, I don't have a working CD burner.

Now suppose this track were on vinyl. Then I'd really be screwed wouldn't I?

You can always rip and edit the track in a sound editor, then run down to the mastering house to make a new dubplate.

No, you just find a way.

Seriously I have never come across such a narrow minded stubborn person.

If you want it to sound an exact way then you may have to edit. If you don't have a burner then tuff titty. Find some one with one. You have to learn to work with what you got and find your own way with it.

I don't know how to say this in a polite way. You can't always get what you want. Welcome to the real world. All you seem to do is find away not to do it as opposed to finding away to do it. And again you have to be open to the fact that you might not be able to do it with all the limitations you keep applying.

If this has got you stumped so much then maybe consider finding a different hobby. DJing isn't for everyone. Unfortunately too many people thing they are upto it. This results in too many below par DJs at parties.

So in other words, don't mix?

Goa Gil doesn't, why should we?

Hey now, papa bear doesn't always just play track to track. I've walk up to him pleanty of times asking where the third deck is hiding, there are some skill/tricks to DAT mixing and he does exercise them. He is a perfect example of what a disc jockey is, by definitional standards. Once you lock beats and play with the key and so on, the definition of a disc jockey is changed. The experience that comes from a Gil show is more than mixing.

Remember India Drop? He would ride a Trainwreak for 2-7 minutes and then do it again. It was his style and it totally confuzed me.

I'm getting confused, What were we saying?

If its on vinyl and its just the ending bars, just do a back or forward spin then kill the mids or play with the eq's per you style on the track as you glide to seek your next record. You can also do it on cd's depending what gear your playing on.

That we have to break the DJ rules by trainwrecking mixes. Once you master the art of trainwrecking for 2-7 minutes, on repeat, you'll have the world at your feet.

I've been DJing other genres of music just fine for over a year. I only consistently have problems like this with psytrance.

What is the answer? Why are you making this more complicated? Are you trolling again?

Again? I was never trolling in the first place.

Of course it's not on vinyl. You knew that, and you knew that I knew that you knew that.
