I went to Goa in 1989, baga was nothing like what it is now. There were no shacks on the beach, just one small tent selling water and beer. The famous Tito's club on Baga was just a house with a front deck and open space in front. Tito used to serve drinks out of his house (He was a nice Man). I had my guest house on Baga. I just wanted to add that at that time there was also Peter Ziegelmeier (Kode-4) @ Ceiba records, He was also living on Baga beach. Jorg used to drive from Germany to Goa to make parties, he has driven down to Goa a lot of times he!he!he!.

yes zion u right ..the hampi video has to be in 97 ...erez + joerg was known as shiva shidapu ..if u listen to tracks to shiv shidapu u can notice the resemblnce with earlier infected mushroom tracks...(pls correct me if i am wrong)
but gettin back to the thread...
where is Laurent and wuts he upto nowadays....
and is there any way of gettin music played at the earliest goa parties anywhere nowadys???

the music is not what played on the party , but defintly it was 93 my friend was there u can see him with tight short pants and bandana , the happiest fella on this movie 
and if look hard enough u might recognize him on doof rec. event , he is 37 this days , there he was 23 but actualy didnt changed much 
i just always feel how powerfull the magic was there in this main pary on the clip

can`t say much about the hampi party,i`m sorry i missed it.
for me gill was always the first goa dj.maybe he was not playing psytrance then,but he was on stage in goa since 80at least,probably earlier,playing with members from eloy and guru guru.hope it`s the right bandnames.anyway,nobody ever complained about his name "goa gill".not trying to blow his trumpet,only have respect.
laurent was the first who was worshipped as dj,many people called him the genius,but it was not really psytrance then.in 91/92 olli,antaro,and gill played at parties .missed the 90/91 season,so can`t say anything about that time.
dino played in goa in 92/93,and there was english andy,the tattooist,he was playing very early nineties as well.bet there were many others i missed out on.
some words to other names mentioned.sven brought his record players in 93/94 season.he wasn`t really lucky with his parties, but he turned his goadays into good promotion.
allen is a music lover and collector.i never heard him play anywhere,but he is around for a long time and one of the most influential and inspiring guys in our scene.doing recording sessions with him always opened up new dimensions.

Alan for sure is a great collector was very much into the finnish sound right from the late nineties, He for sure has a phenominal collection mostly dat's and stuff that probably not a lot have heared......Go,Go Alan!!!.... and hey! his parties in tivim are even better... spiritual to the core!!! |
