I think Antaro was also one of the firsts.

..another interesting question would be what was the very first vinyl classified as goa (trance) ?

If memory serves right, the first one was Laurent,

Then came people like Gil, Pushava, Sangeet, Antaro, Raja Ram, Axel, Riktam, Bansi, Amrit, and I am sure others,

Then Olli Wisdom, and then pretty much all the rest mentioned in here and so many more...
One of the nicest parties I went to Pushava and Sangeet played back to back, was amazing... I think in 89? Not sure anymore...

actually those videos posted above are of Laurent djing, those videos are connected to this thread:

http://www.discogs.com/groups/topic/159529

Laurent actually replied to them like a year ago, his comments are there under username: siolaw

and if you read the comments on this video

Laurent also replies and writes:

"Yeah these were fun times! Have you been in the first Maharashtra party inside the fort? Not a bad one either! I still live in Goa (since 1984) and i can tell you it changed a lot... no such parties since a long time...
Gil told me about the video, and asked me for the track names on your behalf... but i cant remember, and sound is not too good on the clip... but i still have those tracks somewhere!
Enjoy life!
Laurent"

so i guess he's still there in goa

man this track is from 1997 if you look good you will see young erez izen there
nice vid btw

This movie is partly recorded from the party in Hampi, which was sometime in late January 1994, and not '93. I was there, so I know (and I'm also in the video briefly, twice, with an orange hat). It was a 3 day full moon party held up in the mountains across the river from the Hampi village itself. It was a really great party, much nicer than the goan parties I attended previously. I remember me and a friend of mine was coming up on acid, looking around, and faced eachother saying "There's nothing there" meaning there were no bad or stressful vibes like the goan parties. You all know exactly what I mean if you've been. It was just friendly and very peaceful and everyone had their guards down. Best party ever! I still remember the first night/day well, the second night/day I don't remember that much, the third I remember quite well again. These times are gone forever. Which is sad.
