What's the difference between proggressive trance, tech trance and minimal trance?

I think that "i love/i hate" shouldn't exist here and should be banned from our souls as well
this is wrong branch....
my personal state through all these years
is if i find music that probably boring, not interesting or doesn't speak to me (and all of these happen) i simply say that i don't understand the music and i strongly beleive that it is like that and not in opposit. it's in us and not in music. (quality is another topic for discussion)

About boring music i stated above already, and about guidelines, that's the common problem 
i can write 1000 times in different subscriptions/authorizations/topics and even make it red (ok ok dirty-pink) as a link, and nobody cares, why?:) A
And this is free speech Trance place.

i think the difference is in computer and only, after all this is trance, no matter if i prefer really wavy music, or vatiations like Ulf said. but it's all trance and i see no difference between all these genres though frankly, i don't understand a lot of latest releases described by the above definitions/styles.
let's make trance, not war.

This isn't an I hate/I love thread, but as I mentioned before, progressive is a description, not a style, and sometimes, it doesn't do justice with the music. Today progressive means the MPDQX/swedish sound. And I think Highpersonic Whomen are way different than that, and it should be applauded that someone tries something different.
And btw, just like house, techno, funk or any other musical genre can do something that others can't, so does trance. And guess what, I happen to think that's the best thing out there. http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222 |

yes, but when people ask "give me a name of a progressive act", the first answer is always Son Kite. When I mean MPDQX sound, I mean the soft groovy atmosphere that's in 90% of today's progressive music. Personally, I don't think it's the only way people should make trance. I think progression is a powerful tool to create deep music, but there's no reason that progressive music should be any softer than another style.
Refinement doesn't have to be smooth and flowing. Atmos may be like aged red wine... I'd still go for some gentleman jack instead

its your first answer, release it, or may be answer of most of ppl, but its again own view of somebody. when u ask me about progressive trance first answer that come automaticly is Trancefeld, lets ask moishe he will say Walhala and pier will say SBK.. and they all make tottaly different music in different speeds for different crowds
no matter, i get u and agreee with u.
about softelizatzia i think its just we like hear our music at home also, alot of artists found this possible making dancefloor music that very enjoyable at home listening, its importent, for me at least.

Hypersonic Whomen (or however you write it... sorry) is not really progressive and not really full on, but it's fucken psychedelic. I don't know what it is, but it's extremely good.
