I love it when people call my music BLA BLA BLA... So much, that we actually had a 12" hit some years ago, with a track called "Blah-Blah machine".
(You guy's who were around in -96 might have seen it on Nephilim rec.)

So, blah-blah on... it just makes me smile!!!

I also feed on bad review's... just love it when my music makes people scream....

let's all calm down here a bit, shall we?

now, i tend to agree with what ulf here said, about a party being dragged down cause some prog dj comes along. but this post was not about this, it was not about my personal taste, ulf's, lucid's or anyone. it was about the differences between generes. c'mon people, be constructive, not destructive.

now, lets get back to the topic at hand, shall we?           "We Do Not Allways See Things As They Are. We See Things As We Are" -Ancient Chinese Proverb

All I did was tell people to calm down a bit and stop argue about taste in music. I never said I prefered one style over another !

Actually I prefer ambient music but I also like progressive, tech, full on, deep house, classical music, techno, pop and rock......

Zombi you need to chill and read my posts over again.... it's called ironi and humor my friend

So..

"Highpersonic Whomen"

..what's their genre?

progressive? tech? minimal? something in between? whatever the case.. I like it! sort of.. atfirst I didn't like their album "Alternative Energysource" ..but now.. well it's actually quite nice.. especially that "Des Pudels Kern" track..           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

well, i hate going into specific definitions, which is also why i didn't give any artist's names in my reply. i think HPW best fit in the proggressive, with strong fullonish elements; but still, it's only my observation. besides, HPW is a member here now, you can ask him all sorts of questions. but i think you'll find no artist likes to define himself too much. or be defined.

So true Jason
The greatness about music is that you can express yourself in a million ways without getting stuck in one genre

Zombi: Check out Elysium - Subconciousness (one of the first tracks I really loved) and many of his earlier works (first two albums) - they have a lot of raw progressive ideas there with an extra tribal feeling. You can blame the guy for one reason or another I suppose, but not for not understanding progressive.

My definition of progressive music is different than most people's. I define progressive music as music in which the structure is more important than each of the elements on it's own. That's why people tend to use softer sounds there - in order to accentuate the structure rather than the sounds. Of course, you can do it in many other ways (I find a lot of old music by The Art of Trance spectacularly progressive). Minimal is just music that uses a very clean sound and very few elements. This could mean stuff like Shiva Chandra (who claimed that he doesn't like most trance music because it's "too noisey"), but Yumade, Segment and a few others give examples of this genre is amore flexible than most people give it credit. Techtrance is trance with elements of hardcore techno (since general techno loops have been used for ages by acts like Logic Bomb and aren't defined as techtrance), with a hard, dark, atmospheric feeling to it.

As you see, these definitions are far from complete. You can have a progressive techtrance track, or a minimal full-on track... basically, these words are used to describe music, I don't believe in using them to define it.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

hahaha, what a funny joke !!!
kris, when u say its a personal taste and only own opinion to post like "its all same, all boring" that speak about 3 !! different styles of music (and quite big styles) i think u make a joke from yourself, no ??
kaz - i know this tune and other elisium music, its quite nice and i didnt said he dont know/like prog. it was about lack of respect.
btw - tech trance dont have to be hard and dark. fuenf d is a best example.

i always say about forum one thing - speak about what u like, leave the things u dont to others, may be they like it,who knows...

Shouldn't the forum be a way for people to express themselves in the form of text, and by this I mean not only happy thoughts but all that comes to mind????
It's a matter of freedom of speech!

If someone tells me "Your music is freaky, damaged and it sucks!!", I say "Ok, have a nice day!"

What I mean is that you shouldn't take things in a forum to seriously, it's just someones personal thoughts that they want to let out in the open...

That's your view on things Zombi... I don't nessesarely agree with you. By the way if I want to comment a post I will. It's a free world my friend. And it's not like all your coments are right on the spot concerning the original topic.

And yes I was using ironi and humor..just sad you failed to understand it :-(
