well, most obviously, the sounds are different. proggressive trance utilizes softer, more fluffy sounds, tending towards the club and even house music. techno-trance takes it's name from combining techno with trance, using metalic sounds, more loop works, a more monotonic build and strutcture. minimal, as the name suggests, is minimalistic useage of sounds, building a track mainly on sound-work and little to no synths.

Prog: Son Kite, Reefer Decree, Ticon, Beat Bizarre
Tech: Spirallianz, The Delta, PPS Project, Source Unknown
Minimal: Shiva Chandra, Auricular, SBK

So basicly..
plank A4 paper is minimal
plank A4 with 4 black squares on it is progressive
plank A4 with 2 red and 2 black squares on it is tech
?

its too complete to expain it realy good, too long it will be.
u have to listen some years to trance,then u will get it all without any words.
Ulf - seems everything that is not agressive/depressive/atari maded boring u...

weirdo beirdo....its not that its all the same just cuzz U DONT LIKE IT!
and sbk is not minimal its progressive - sometimes tech .
and there is a diffrenece:
the progressive is tend to house (timetech, ticon, trancefeld and so on)
techtrance is more tend to tecno (like someone wrote here:Spirallianz, The Delta, PPS Project)
and minimal is just minimal. (auricular, paste, xv kilist and so on..)

Well excuse me, but I forgot the "TO ME IT'S"-part...
Well, TO ME it's all sounds the same...
Excuse me for liking music with actual variation.....
(It doesnt need to be agressive/depressive/atari as long as somethings actually happens...)
