Pattern oriented I meant. Which isn't a bad thing, just I always felt very disorganized using it when creating variations on patterns.           www.musicproductionnatural.com || www.facebook.com/djamoeba | facebook page

I use "The Search".           You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me?

Hey man, Ableton 8 is released about 2 months..

IMO The software don´t are important...
All DAWs are very similar...

the tool is not important, but what you do with that tool...

Just out of curiosity, has anyone messed around with Live 8 enough to confirm that the sound rendering engine is as improved as they say? I'm curious as to how Live 8 stacks up to Cubase for example in terms of quality rendering, etc.

Reaper is killaaargh, great routing, easy automations. nice performances (good use of CPU)

I agree. Once you learn your way around it, and learn to use the hotkeys(or make your own), it has the fastest workflow of any DAW out there. I can compose an entire tune in a day or two, whereas it took atleast a week in Cubase to do the same amount of work. It feels more like a musical instrument than a piece of software.
