Just returned from there several days ago and regret to admit that the place has changed (to the worse) noticeably over a couple of years.

Who feels the same?
*
What can (at least hypothetically) be done to improve the situation?

Well it depends on how you look it at. There is no doubt the scene has died out considerably thanks to the Government. However i ASSURE you parties will not come to a freeze , things will get underground and thats the vibe we all look forward to anyways

Give it 2-3 years, it will be back booming without a doubt.

I had once heard someone saying that Goa has now happened, and we should follow the tide thats pulling us all, maybe create another goa somewhere down south.. like lakshwadeep or andaman and nicobar islands!           Nothing is said that has not been said before.

Who cares btw ? Doesnt matter where its happening, just that it is.

"Goa is a state of mind", if there ever was a true cliché, then that must be it!

Hampi (nr Hospet, Karnataka) is still the BEST place for parties - no GOA mentality, just good parties (and bhang lassis)

Without water (sea, etc.) a party place would feel incomplete...

you always have the hills , gokarna , hampi , ohm beach etc            Nocturnal Wizardz Recs
Bhooteshwara Records
Cubasing is like Freebasing, just with audio.
Both cost more than you can afford, and leaves you sitting in a dark room with no life, craving for more.

Ravers dont goto up north to morjim/arambol if theres a party n u guys want to find a new frontier.

Goa is killer.

Always have, always will be.

Christmas was killer, without all the kachra crowd.

The only way to party in Goa is to stay long.

Otherwise build ur life in such a way to get into the habit of visiting international festivals.

Boom.

What do you expect from Goa that you have got before but dont get anymore?

(I'm talking post 2000/2001. The 90s was another deal... Goa changed because the rest of the world did.)

Not a rhetorical question. I'd just like to to hear some other views. Thanks!

Reasons why Goa died:

1.
Rude, spoiled and ignorant "hippie" tourists going to Goa to swim in drugs with no respect for local traditions and culture whatsoever.

No wonder the Authorities at one point had to say stop. Can you really hold that against them?

2.
The music played there now is bullocks. Fast furious Full on of the worse kind or dark even faster crappy music made in Russia (no offense to the few talented artists there).
I heard some parties have progressive but so far it's progressive close to full on (as far as i heard).

3.
The place (when we talk parties) is over exploided which makes it a place that's last on my wishlist.
