Earlier we could live that state of mind in Goa with no PARANOIA. Parties getting busted, Reasons to come to Goa changing- this was never Goa.

The 604 vibe is alive though, maybe not in goa, but somewhere for sure...

What do you expect from Goa that you have got before but dont get anymore?

(I'm talking post 2000/2001. The 90s was another deal... Goa changed because the rest of the world did.)

Not a rhetorical question. I'd just like to to hear some other views. Thanks!

It can be approximately described as "magic in the air"... Or just "atmosphere"... Which is determined chiefly by what you see/hear around + the general attitude...

Some people might want to kill me for this, but Indians are as much to blame for Goa's party health as anyone else. I was there for last 10 days and man, the parties have certainly become popular with a wrong section of Indian crowd.

As for them not being allowed to take place, well, it was bound to happen. The scene became so big that no government could afford letting it be. If anyone's to be felt sorry for then its the locals there, who in the absence of rave tourists have to find new ways to live. Two-three decades of a certain kind of tourism is hard to unlearn, and they have no help from their state to make the shift.

Last season I visited Goa was on 94/95 and eventho I have been to India few times since, it never even crossed my mind to go back... It was unspoiled and "scene free" scene hehe.. especially at the very beginning of the 90's... the 2000+ seasons is mostly politics of those that deal the "goodies" vs Goan police authorities... The party spots are very few, and there is totally nothing to be waiting for in anticipation, like it was in the 90's...

Its pretty normal tho, since every good thing comes to end sometime, and its important to know it and not to push it too hard like some ppl do with Goa..           A man with a "master plan" is often a woman

I got pretty good information from people who go there year after year. You do not have to be at a party in Goa to know what kind of music and what kind of parties Goa dish up with these days.

All it takes is to read what you write and there's no doubt that I was spot on in my previous post about the scene in Goa these days.

And again I said the music is no good IMO and that Goa is last on my wishlist of places to go to for musical entertainment.

I would love to go to India and travel there without focusing on music. The country got an amazing culture so why bother go there for music you can go for anywhere else.          http://www.peopleagainstpeace.net/

I agree wrong sections of the crowd turns up...yeah maybe more of indians(for the obvious fact tat this is india). There r several wrong sections of foriegners too who land up at parties. well tat doesnt mean one puts up a board saying "Indians not allowed".

if we can tolerate their behaviour on our land...they shud be too.
