It's this "oh we should love everybody and smoke the chillum while we bless the mother earth and not confront people" attitude that result in people like XP being allowed to do business in the scene. I do not say you are a shanti hippie (no offense). I dont know you 
BUT XP deserve a kick in his a** and a one way ticket out of the scene. Nothing else is acceptable and if the attitude is once again to make a scumbag promoter go free then people in the scene deserve to be treated the way he treat people.

its not so much about the "oh we should love everybody" attitude i think but about ignoring shit like XP... to respond so strongly to it only indicates that he's really made a strong impact on you... fact is... he's so inconsequencial he doesn't desreve all the attention thats being given to him out here.. you know wat they say about no such thing as bad publicity right... the guy just wants some attention one way or the other and thats exactly wat we're giving him.. |

hello, i know there are a lot people here who have hated XP much before this incident, but let me try to stem the tide for the new converts.
Scenario: u make a party on your kid's bday (russian xmas is also XP's daughter's bday), and rent a club for it...since your space is big, but not huge, you make flyers and hope the right people will come...then on the day u stand at the gate and ensure smiling beautiful people get in coz you want those inside to have a good time...this means you have to turn down some people, most of whom happen to be Indians, (but heck, what else should one expect)...few things to keep in mind here -
- you are NOT charging entry, so this not a commercial gig
- the fact that the party is in a club is only bcoz no outdoor parties are being allowed to happen...you would have loved for it to be an outdoor, where all people can find their little spaces, but now you have to regulate the crowd coz of space constraints.
- YOU are the one who CREATED the concept of russian xmas party in the first place, by making it the hottest thing to happen in Goa last year (how many people knew of, leave alone celebrate, russian xmas before that??
- since last year itself you are concerned about wrong indian crowds invading Goa during xmas-new years, though otherwise you have utmost respect for Indians

now, I don't know how this racism thing has come along, but I see no hard evidence for it. Its like saying a scientist living among construction workers is biased towards them since most of his discords appear to be with them...helllooo!
as for under-the-belt attacks - biggest drug dealer, pimp, and blah..i would like to ask if EVERYONE knows he is the biggest coke dealer in Goa and his wife is selling 13-14 yrs old girls, then why have they not been caught yet? If thats really true, then hats off to them anyway if his crime is he is a big-shot dj and happens to have some contacts, then please correct urselves first (since most of you are not thaat big-shot and have had to actually work on them, lol). As for coke or charas or lsd or country liquor...thats a personal choice, and just that.
so folks, before you go flying off your cuffs again, be a little more open to the facts of the situation.
I am not saying all this coz i love to lick mr XP's ass, hell he wasn't even nice to me when we met this time, and I think his musical tastes are getting further and further from my liking, but bcoz I believe he has done no wrong here.

First of all you should better learn your English.
I spoke for MOST of my countrymen not ALL of my countrymen.
Obviously you're not one of them.
I don’t really care about what you learned in school books, and how Portuguese teachers taught you that we gave so much for the world and all that kind of BS.
You have to learn to think for yourself, and colonizing (meaning, I found this is mine) a country and submitting the local people to your rules and costumes and religions is extremely wrong, imo.
That is the reason why are independent, because it is their country, not your country.
and if you check wikipédia and write goa, you will read stuff like this:
"With the imposition of the Inquisition (1560–1812), many of the local residents were forcibly converted to Christianity by missionaries, threatened by punishment or confiscation of land, titles or property. "
How cool is that, uh?
Plus, independence came in 1974, and Goa trance as we know it arrived 20 years later, so don’t give yourself credit for what you don’t have.
I'll give credit for us being a kind of low profile and easy tempered people, who were most worried with the commercial point of view then anything else, unlike most of the other countries.
And yeah sure we shared some of our technologies, but do you give yourself the importance to think they really needed it?

No, your not speaking for most of your countrymen.Why the hell was the colonization of goa bad??If Portugal hadnt colonized Goa, the Goa trance scene would never existed because it was the mix between european(portuguese) culture and indian that made possible the creation of goa trance scene and im not even talking about the freedom that the portuguese rullers provied for hippies there...now u can see what happened to the scene with indian government,no freedom

electricity, trains, technology would've come 2 us anyways..eveen during tha 40's ..we had ppl. who studied outside but returned 2 india wid their ideas..!
and engaging in slave trade,disturbing communal harmony,treating ppl. poorly..is not exactly what i would describe as civilized past..

This sounds like an endless discussion, some other sides have links to this threads, I understand why everyone is concerned and in fact think this is an interesting issue.
I'm locking it until XP's reply or the end of the universe, whatever happen first.

OK,as far the tread about this big issue of my "racism"':) behave on Russian Crystmas in Goa,was blocked,I want to post my personal view on this matter,so those who will understand me,thank you.For the others,I give a wondefull possibilty to continue to tell shit about me untill this tread will be also locked ( thanx to the moderators.)
So,on 7 january-Russian Crystmas,which is as well the birthday of my daughter,and it is a kind of My party- I am making it from where She was born-2001,and all the time in this day happening massive party,very special,I make promotion by myself,collect friends ( I have a lot ),and trying to create something unforgettible .
This Year the party situation in Goa is very hard,but by luck I found killer place-the open air club in the Jungles-multilayer,good sound,lasers.Fancy,but ideal for Crystmas celebration.
So,I rent a club,and made 1000 flyerses,cause the club capacity is limited.
On the flyerses was written that the entrance is allowed only with THIS INVITATION.
The point was that the party was so hot,that instead of expected ammount,we went out from the limit already at 1.00.
Bacuase of that,at 3.00 we CLOSED the entrance in the club mostly for one hour for all,and then continued to put inside slowly.
Apart of this we had 1 person at the entrance as well as I was all the night on the gates,letting pass the NICE LOOKING people who doesnt have the invitations in the club.
Israeli,russians,german,indians,goans,it doesnt matter for me till you look as a trance lover and not as a rediculous tourist,which,sorry,I just didnt want to see on this type of a party.
And I can guaranty that all this people untill thay had the passion to wait were inside the club till the end,blasting .1500 people I am talking about.
The people who were not fitting inside went home.Yes,maybe 200 ppl,or more.Israeli,russians,german,indians,goans.No matter.
Then this guy Trick couldnt make it this night,came without the invitation ,or looked crapy,was not let aloowed to come in,and get really pisssed of,decided to spoil my name in isratrance.Bravo.
The other point,is my reply in the tread,where I said that "probably you was one of this disgusting looking Delhi boys...""
Oops,it was probably my mistake to write it shortly,as I could think I speak only with this TRICK guy ( I replyed to him actually ).
Sorry,for that guys,dont interpretate me wrong. I live here and i have hundreds indian friends all over the country,and the last thing I have in my soul is any kind of negative feeling to Indian people.
So let me write again with the appologise for the incorrect understanding of my words,how I had to write at the beginning -

So,maybe we should speak about the people who dont follow the politics of the club,than about my racism,I think.
Then.Some of you,nice nice,very clever guys put the articles about me this and that from the newspapers,etc.I am sure you have no idea about real Goan life,othervise you dont do such a stuoid things,so I ll open you the eyes.
For last 6-7 years in Goa were left only 4 strong organisations,who stil had desire,power and money to make good parties in Goa.Even each year was harder and harder for us,we made it every season,big,proper blasters.
Goan people last years are full of jellousy,money thoughts and local poiltics games.One make good party ( bar ) today,the rest also wants,then permission can get only 3 from 7 people,so the rest 4 start to put the sticks in the weels-call the cops,complain about the sound.Even so much complain,that the loud sound in Goa is officially banned from 22.00.It was going crick crack till the last year,when one guy R.opened in Anjuna area the club name D.V..
R.had bad reputation between the loccals,as he was convicted for the murder,as well as his place was never so popular,but it was the club.
So R. was smart.His uncle is the editor and reorter of the Yellow newspaper Gomantak Times ( all stuff of this GT is 4 ppl By the way).So,R. started from december 2005,mostly every day publish down tha name Gomantak repeoter the BIG articles on the fron page,totally destroing Goa parties and all organisators personally ( 5 people),with the purpose to spoil their names and deport from India.Drug Fund terrorism fund in Goa,n,Goa sold out to Sex,Drugs,Hedonism,Coke dealers
sailng 100 000 a month,bla bla bla bla.Photos from the parties,articles,when they blaimed the party organisers( me as well ) in all bad things possible.If you are lauphing on what you read in the other tread is just the uppart of the Iceberg.You had to read the other.All their "facts"are just bullshit noncence witht the only purpose tho fuck us up,and stop the openair parties in Goa.
Actually R.suceed,cause now the only things we can do is to make a parties in West End with the inviations,and hope that between the indian people there are no cops ar journalsists,or seat in Chapora in the morning and read with 100 others a new surprising article,when I again can learn a lot of new surprising facts from my life,Goa life and my friends.

I also dont ask to write sometihng like-ok,XP,we forgive you,cause what I wrote it is how is the situatuion INDEED,and it was never different.
If I make a private party,and you have the invitation ( and if you are in trance,means,you have a friends here,who can get you),you can be sure you will pass inside.
