everything/nothing at the same time            To focus sometimes you need to spin hard on your soul's axis..... just don't ask how and what it means ;)

That quite a long post...
Sure, the fact it all started in India influenced people and made Hindu god popular among deco artists, etc...

But you might also consider Timoty Leary about relation between LSD and Eastern religions :
"For almost everyone, the LSD experience is a confrontation with new form of wisdom and energy that dwarf and humiliate man's mind.
This experience of awe and revelation is often described as religious. [...] Well, LSD is western yoga. The aim of all Eastern religion, like the aim of LSD, is basicelly to get high : that is to expend our conciousness and find ecstasy and revelation within."
(taken from The Politic of Ecstasy / 1966)

So maybe it's one of the reason we are looking East, psytrance music and LSD sharing the same goal.

IMO: Forget just psytrance but me being a human always believe that GOD (be it Hindu or no Hindu!!) has to do with everything that exists including myself, all of us, sky, sun, moon, planets, life blah blah blah ....... n psytrance is a part of the bunch so yes GOD (again Hindu or NO Hindu) is realted to this....!!!

Booooom....

We were born naked & grow up to become wicked.

Iv seen T Shirts with Jesus on them at raves....

As Baba once said, theres complete shanti in Hindu Mythology....

Even in war (Mahabharat) theres wisdom.
The Hindu Holy book,Geeta,is a compilation of what Lord Krishna told Arjuna before the great war between the two factions,Kauravs and Pandavs.
So,theres a reason for everything in the Hindu Mythology.

Probably the reason as to why the Old School free spirited tribes associated drugs and trance to Hindu Gods is because Lord Shiva is the biggest patronizer for changing his state of mind.
He used to sleep in the graves, drink, smoke n b merry always. The reason as to why his wife's (Sati's) father didnt approve of his daughter's marriage.
After their marriage there was a party at Mahadeva's in-laws up in the Kailashs for which he didnt get the invitation, map etc.

This infuriated Sati. But Mahadeva made her understand n send her to the party nevertheless.
There she got all negative vibes, and not being able to take it anymore, gave up her life.
Narayan, the messenger got to know this and escalated the matter to Lord Shiva.
But Mahadeva being Mahadeva, got to know of it before hand, and found his way to the party.
Out there,he took her on his shoulders and did what is today known as the Tandav dance.
The earth shook.
Many a people looked.
.
.
On his way back home, the anger, resonating from the weight of his wife on his shoulders, and his basic nature, was destroying everything.
Lord Vishnu realised that until he took the weight off Mahadeva's shoulders, his anger wouldnt subside.
Thus,Lord Vishnu, using his Sudarshan Chakra(weapon) cut up Sati's body into many pieces.
The places where her body parts fell are now pilgrimage sites.......

Boom.

Mythology. Symbolism. Religious/psychedelic experience. Goa. India. Hippies. Self discovery. Meditation. LSD. Psychedlics. Dance. creating the universe. Shiva Lord of bhang, patron of psy Lord Ganesh, guardian of travelers on physical and mental journeys..... engrained in psy art and story telling for ever.

Music has nothing to do with religion, it's a scientific fact that music triggers your own reward system which releases dopamine in your head. The same way food sex and drugs do. Claiming to have a religious experience baffles me. Here's a video which provides food for thought.

And bom shanti baba to you to!

there is no connection, i find it derrogatory if anything to tie hindu Gods or any Gods to this music as do the vast majority of indians do, + there are alot of these fanatic people who have 0 respect for the indians in these parties

Prove to me that psychedelics act on dopamine in meaningful way. From what I've heard only physically addictive substances trigger reward system and that's why they are addictive.
