If anyone could advice me on how to get from Porto Velho to Machu Pichu in Peru it would be greatly appreacited. I know I could fly to Cuzco but that would cost some sweet money? I've got about 5 days to make it there and back.. can it be done? Should it be done?
Oh by the way Velho is "a wizard" in finnish    "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

Well i dont know how you can go from Porto Velho to Machu Pichu... but i can make you go from Rio Branco to Cusco on 3 days OR 8hours.
8 HOURS:
Cusco / Maldonado (Peru) - 45 min : by plane US$ 38,00.
Maldonado / Assis Brasil - 3 hours : by cab (taxi) US$ 8,00 for each person.
Assis Brasil/ Rio Branco - 4 hours : by bus US$ 10,00.
3 DAYS
By car:
Cusco / Maldonado - 500 km
Maldonado / Inapari - 240 km
Assis Brasil/ Rio Branco - 320 km

Hey thanks a lot, but Rio Branco is like 1500 km away from Porto Velho. It's just that I can't fly to Rio Branco with my air pass. 
Hmm but yeah this helps a lot anyways so thank you

Well anyways I changed my flight plan so this Rio Branco - Cusco thingy better be for real
Here's what I'll be doing:
23.12.2005 Rio De Janeiro - Iguassu Falls
25.12.2005 Iguassu Falls - Salvador
04.01.2006 Salvador - Rio Branco (probably not a straight flight but thru Brasil or smth)
09.01.2005 Rio Branco - Manaus (again probably not a straight flight)
15.01.2006 Belém - Rio de Janeiro
So I'll be taking a boat from Manaus to Belem and I've got about 5 days to make it. Is this enough time?
edit. damn that's many miles in an airplane
edit2. 3 hours in a cab just 8$ a person? damn  that's like 3 minutes in a taxi here.. 6€ when you sit inside the taxi and then 1.5€ a kilometer or something

you'll spend 24 hours on the boat from Manaus to Belem. (1 day)
but, i'm sure that you'll enjoy a lot Manaus and Belem... lung of the world

1 day, holy shit, that's like half of the Amazon river. Anyways I was thinking of a cargo ship, you know the ones that stop at almost every port..
but good to know that it can be done really fast as well

Thanks for your reply man...but as I said soundshop charge 15 reais per ticket...I intent to buy 4 tickets (for me and friends) so I have to pay 60 reais just for delivery rates?
