totally agree ! music is the universal language and a very effective medium to change people opinions on various things .. it just adds to the pool of universal ideas that we derive our opinions and thoughts from .. be it political , societal or enviromental

Is there anyone here who can honestly say they do not believe that music played a role in the cultural changes that the United States and western Europe exeprience in the 1960's-70's?

Dude...reading ur post here makes me wonder how unreal, naive and ignorant a human being can get, if you're human that is. First of all music has changed ALOTTA PEOPLE'S CONSCIOUSNESS ABOUT MANY THINGS GOING ON ON PLANET EARTH, although it seems u have missed that flying around in your saucer elsewhere in space... 
2nd about the Bush story, it is still a fact that most people are being misled by heavily censored news, like most of the US, and almost all the rest of our planet, that have no possibility to receive other newschannels than those being controlled by Bush and his republican army of neo-nazi's and capitalists that own as good as all newspapers and tv-stations over the entire USA and even outside of it. Maybe once you step out of your you can see that it's hard for many people that are being kept in the dark to discover the truth about such a person, this is why people repetively keep sending out a message, because on top of it the people that DO hear and see it are sometimes to shocked to realize and to be willing to accept the facts as they rather not see them. Not everybody has the same level of consciousness on the same moment so this is why it's important to keep repeating a certain message if we wanna keep reaching a big audience....why do you think a lot of commercials are being repeated non-stop on tv for example? Anyway.....the thing I reaaaaaaaally can't coop with is you saying there's things you like about Bush and things that you don't like.....WHAT IN GOD'S NAME IS THERE TO LIKE AT ALL ABOUT GEORGE BUSH DUDE ??? Apart from his sizzling super fancy haircut and impackable charismatic appearance and dressing code I really wouldn't know !!! 
And last of all politics allover the world have been proven not to be accessable for those who believe in things like many of us do...not anymore I'm afraid !  If you would check some of the links that are posted in the section Promotional (see Shiva Joerg's Illuminati video clip - http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/80015/forum/41) and truly be updated about how politics works worldwide nowadays you wouldn't say any of the ignorant things you posted here. Politics is worldwide being controlled by a small group of very powerful and rich people that pull the strings on a global level nowadays. You really think you have a bit of a chance to get a UN resolution for open-air parties dude? Which planet are you from amigo and did u just land here and truly have no damn clue how things go down on earth nowadays? My advice is to inform yourself a bit better before you post non-thought-through and surreal opinions like yours here. It's exactly this kind of ignorance that those in control love to see and what keeps them in control. Certain political, social and enviromental issues can't be repeated enough till all of us are conscious about what's happening. You say you wanna hear something that you don't know yet, well, I'm sure the list of links provided by me and others int he video link are full of information you have no clue about...or are you just interested in Bush doing it 69-style and interested in his sexual escapades and nothing to serious and heavy? If you are so bored with the Bush-bashing and can't coop with it no more, then wait for the lovely Presinator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) to come in power, which is what is being prepared right now in the US, he's governator of California allready and this ain't no joke, chances that he will be the next president of the US of A are more then sickening real unfortunately. From what I see it's time this planet wakes up to the hard painful facts instead of acting like it's normal to have things like this going on...'CAUSE IT'S NOT NORMAL WHERE I COME FROM !!! Many out there are not even close to knowing what's really going on nowadays on our beloved planet Gaia......and this is what keeps motivating people like Joerg, me and many others to spread the msg of truth for as far as we can get a hold of it....
For the rest nothing personal 'cause ur not the only one that is ignorant on this forum of many facts and I'm not saying I know the full truth either, but if you'd dig a bit more around in the facts as being presented here, I'm sure you'd not be saying the things u posted here and would have quite a different opinion....so I hope u do some research next time before posting again....

i couldnt see no video at the moment kind of stuck with my connection or something...but i ll be always fighting and suppporting my friend in here as shawnodese and joerg ...who have the strenght to speak loud and clear for those who can t ..or are afraid of !!!
ignorance is the worst things ever , we can t forget about history facts ...and we can t denied only because we are part of a nice easy and tripy freaky scene ..dancing our ass off around the beatches and playing the world wise hippies ...when all that shit is going on !!!!!
we have to learn from our fathers , from our past , learn politics , religions , philosophie ...we have to educate ourselves and our children to be abble to change the whole mess ...
communication is the key ...let s spread the message and yes music is a good fluxe to spread the word!!!
and trance indeed , we are weeling a better world ...no more wars , no more slavery , no more pedophilia ...so let s use our weapons ...music vibration and resonnance to dance all together on the same beat and share the same energie !

i know what u mean, and i'm with u.
For me, trance music is about living in a reality that has it's own space without all the Chaos around it, especially here in Israel.
Shawndese, i understand your point of view, it's just that i, as an israeli, have too much politics around me all the time. that's why i prefer my trance without politics issues.

I see ur point mate and can imagine you get overdosed like all of us do at certain moments. It's good to take ab break of it now and then but this is getting so intense worldwide that sticking our heads in the sand is not gonna help anymore, it's actually what always made those in charge, stay in charge so maybe if we finally all collectively share time in investing and spreading the truth, that this will stop soon someday. I believe that if we would all invest a bit of time in this that we can make a lot of change instead of just a few doing so and the rest kinda being fed up/bored/brainwashed by it and stick their heads back in the sand....but point taken and I'd probably feel the same or simular to you living in the mess you live in there !

Back to the politics, i think trance could be a great way to make the wake up call on its particular way, basically on people that for one reason or other are not aware of what's actually going on on the world they live in. why not take the message outhere? using the music that we like,not a bad idea huh?. as long as it doesn't get anoying on a certain way or another,I'd say go for it. i mean Bush is not the only thing to be against of, you know what i mean?.

Getting politics into trance is wrong , it goes against the principals of global acceptence and the free of any conflicts atmosphere that this scene has (or is suppose to have )
My main point is what about the people that have different oppinions then u ? what if I M not against bush ? does that mean that I cant listen to psy anymore cause it got anti bush messeges? (the bush thing is just an example , it can be related to any other political subject). znaika:

I completely agree with Brain_Storm, I want my Trance clean ! I want to get pure music and psychedelia without any "political messages".
And btw, I don't see it as "Trance & politics", I mean that video clip, it just some video editing with background track.
In the history of music, political messages went through lyrics (IMHO), and thanks G-d, Trance doesn't have it.
Just my two shekels.
