Traveller, Prometheus is not full-on trance, it's just psychedelic trance, twisted rec style. Simple as that...

Doh, I just wrote that it's not full on for sure. What's this twisted records style you speak of? You mean the Unsual Suspects, Twisted Sessions vol.1, Younger Brother, Robot-O-Chan thingy? Granted those 4 bear some similarities in style but that's it really. The rest good 20 releases don't really sound that similar to them if you ask me.

Yes, that's what I mean. Similar style according to the label's releases the last couple of years....
Have a good listen and you'll understand...           Don't hope 2 much 4 something cause u may end up getting it...

Ah, monkey on the keys!

Pigeon-holing only gets you so far... to me it makes sense to think of psytrance as an umbrella, with prominent movements below. Full-on and progressive both have many artists and releases which easily fall into such a classification, but there are some unique albums that I will just refer to as 'psytrance' without more specification - Robot-o-chan being one of them, B.L.T's Anything you Want being another one.

Progressive releases this year have indeed been fantastic... there is better depth to be found in that realm than what is offered up as full-on these days. In fact, as a movement, I'm really tired of full-on so I'm glad there's a strong progressive movement to counterbalance it. High marks for Lunaspice, FREq, DJ Exanimo, 12 Moons, Matenda, Atmos, Kooler, Son Kite, Human Blue, the Higher Human Form, Kruger & Coyle, and Tetraktys as well as V/A's Pure Bliss, Goa X, Battle Royale, and especially A Day After... as for the future, aren't we waiting on a second album from Tegma? I'm sure there's more - I don't look ahead too far...
