the 65 have a bit better mids and low end from what i have read, goes louder and cleaner too... if you like the 5 imo save for the 65 so you re sure to not be disapointed or you might find something that suit you even better by trying something else who know

So today is finally the day of decision....and the below 3 are what i can afford. Couldnt get to the Focal or the Adam A7X or Dynaudio. My current monitors (Samson Rubicon R6) are not working properly so no time to wait (save)

KRK VXT6 - 660 euros
Adam A5X - 600 euros
Event 20/20 BAS V3 - 660 euros

What says you?

After an afternoon of testing i went for the Adam A5X. The KRK VXT6 have more low end and nice features to eq the sound but it doesnt hide the fact that (for my ears) they have a "pop(ish)" sound...can't explain better.

I was sorry i could not test the EVENT 20/20 BAS V3 but in the end i'm not gonna buy monitors without listening to them.

Thanks to all for the precious help!!!!

p.s. - the A5X are tiny!!!!

You are ALL pathetic creatures!

And only one of you even mentioned - Quested!!!!

These are without doubt the most accurate monitors I've heard that in addition to also pleasant to hear and are suitable for any style of music and quilting mixing and mastering.

I use the S7R

bought a pair of hs80m's and i couldnt be happier. altough i like to put the -2db highshelf on longer sessions. when im done, or want to check things, i turn the highshelf back up.

yeh they are suposed to be great and a stand out in this price range, next time i go to the store will have a listen.

from monitors i have heard it s all about focal and adam ! and my favorite brands is focal.. french so i like to suport and very big experience of designing speakers, great suport, now the sound is not suited to everyone and can lack some depth imo

I am not sure if this has already been said here before but for those of you newbies who get completely overwhelmed with the technical jargon, have a look at this.
I found this to be very useful resource in understanding the im,portant elements in selecting a monitor.
