yes.. pretty much, some rack gear are ok but the monitors are to stay away of.. although truth is that with any speaker you can make good productions if you learn their and the rooms sound!

Since i dont want to spam this section, im going to ask you guys an opinion about headphones

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Behringer-Hpx2000-High-Definition-Dj-Headphones/dp/B000IKWBC2/ref=sr_1_25?ie=UTF8&qid=1300582746&sr=8-25

Do you think this ones are good for Music production? (im just starting producing,so no need to spend huge amounts of money)

first of all these are dj headphones.. soo no good for producing since they focus more on giving a loud sound for the dj in the super noisy club.
second they are behringer cans...

I'm replacing my Samson Rubicom R6 (a ribbon was replaced and it never sounded the same)after 3 years of intense use - a great pair of monitors if you dont want to spend alot of money!!!!

I was planning to get a pair of Adam A5X but after reading the several comments on this thread im not so sure....maybe i need to get the A7X??? Cant afford Focal, Genelec or Dynaudio....

I have around 850euros to spend and my room has 20m2, so what do you advise?

p.s. - i was offered a good deal on a pair of KRK VXT6 - 700euros pair....but i dont like them very much (bassy and low detail)

hey orange did you used the ath-m50? i wonder if you picked the 30 over the 50????

i have no clue about the 30 never used them but i m a big fan of the 50, really great cans , i love them as much as my monitors seriously and they cost way less... for someone starting production and dont have money yet for good monitors and access to a good room i hilghy recomend them. i got them recomened by a great producer that really know is shit making tunes on the road playing around the world in clubs since more than a decade, he was so right !
but it s matter of taste in the end, these casn work great for him, for me too maybe for someone else it won t dunno..

if i had to make a tune just with these cans pluged to my mac it wont bother me that much insteed of using my metric halo and monitors in my treated room, overall cost more than 5000/6000 euros wihtout the mac and the cans just cost 150 ...sure it wont replace my monitors for some aspect of the mixing stage but it s great bang for the buck !just to say i love the ath sound !

a7x are nice but for the price i would get a pair of dynaudio bm5a same price but dunno... they feel like more suitable for psy than the adam... probably cos i got a pair, but between those 3 (focal cms6, dyna bm5a and adam a7x)i would get the focal cms65 but they didnt exist 5 years ago.

but adam a7x and focal cms5 are same price..
you sure you dont look at price per unit and not pair?

cos they both retail at just under 1000euro

Well all these Monitors you mentioned go beyond the 850euros a pair budget i intend to spend even more if we're talking about Focal cms65, which i'm sure are amzing but out of my reach.

I just got a pair of Adam A7X, they are very nice, not necessarily flattering but I can hear everything now ! Go get 'em ! Oh, and the Dynaudio ... Not even close... Not even remotely close !

i like the 65, dunno if it s the best deal in that price range but i enjoy using them as nearfield..i also seen measurment somewhere on the net, about phase, release time in low frequencies,distortion... all good for a monitor of that size and in that price range.

I work (at school) with the cms5 and they are great so i believe the 65 must be amazing but expensive.

Can anyone share a thought on the EVENT 20/20 BAS V3?
