Hi Punit!
You mentioned that you've been working with Audio Kontrol for the last 2 months.
I have a question which is very important for me:
Can you work with both 44.1 kHz and 48.0 kHz with low latencies?
Because with my Creative Soundcard I can only work with 48.0 kHz with low latencies, with 44.1 kHz I have to work with very high latencies. And sometimes I prefer recording with 44.1 kHz..
Best wishes,
Human

is it true that when you for instance have a usb-mouse, that you could get clicks with the usb-soundcard whenever you move the mouse? can't quite imagine, but some guy in another forum told me that this could happen..

yeah, used to happen with my Creative Audigy 2 NX sound card, whenever i double click to open a folder that could be heard on the speakers but dosen't happen with Audio Kontrol .
About the audio latency part i'm not sure as i use it for DJ'ing & not for production. Why don't you try the Audio Kontrol forum.

Hello mates
sorry because I didnt read all this thread pages (the recent ones from page 12 and so on..) and I dont know If it's already answered this question
but I hope you forgive me
anyway
Does anyone use the Presonus Firebox bigger brother ? the Presonus Firepod ?? what you that have this interface have to tell me ?
I'm planning to buy these two interfaces the firebox and the firepod too...the bigger one to keep at home and the little one for work on the road
I really dont need all that preamp's but I think its also cool to be prepared for recording bands and analog stuff
so...my question goes for the ones that have the Presonus Firepod...what you can tell me ?
love and light
peace out
Gus

i am still love my emi 2/6 more than my traveller cuz it's never give me any problem of finding it and very happy with it's latency. i wish it was made with one phantom pre-amp would be just perfect. however i still need to juggle with tek issue with traveller. so my winner still emi2/6, too bad apple bought their creative field

I use a Firebox now and i'm very very happy with it.
however.. you have to be carefull, there are some serious compatibility problems with some laptops, in my case the conflict was with the grafic card.
i changed computer and works like a charm, no glitchin' down to 2ms
great price/quality

Has anyone had experience with buying soundcards from the USA and installing them in computers from elsewhere?
I'm from Australia and I want to buy a emu 1212m while i'm in the USA and put it in my computer. Is there issues with power sources, compatibility, etc? |

for pci cards i dont think they are any issues! inside the computer the voltages are the same everywhere (i think)
for external equipment the voltage changes but u can always use a power transformer !

2496 is a decent card , but its pci so cant be mobile with it , maby consider a firewire / usb interface .. for around 250 $ u could get one from m-audio .. but be wary , m audio has notoriously buggy interfaces , some like em , some hate em .. for little more maby a motu ultralite or an rme .. those are a step above m audio i heard .
