i think every vst manufacturer makes the A.U version also.if they are reliable and good company.
i don know why ppl love vst so much
and if there is no A.U version and you want to use the instrument then u can use the wrapper as told by Mtz Mtzz
or if u don't want to compensate with the quality then u can rewire logic with any other D.A.W like ableton live or something and use the vst version in that software everything should go fine.....

i think it'll have everything what tiger had.
it has extra features remember
so if everything is running perfectly on tiger there's no doubt that it will not run on leopard
it's apple not microsoft
mac engineers must have thought wat we can't even think of

I was researching leapord to verify if everything I have should work, and what I seem to have found is that it all should. Apple has highly recomended to audio engineers create backups of everything, and something about even installing it on an external HD as a trial. There will be no official announcement on this until the masses have reported.

A friend of mine has it and loves it, although he does not produce music. He is however a mac wiz, and has had no problems.

PS I will not be held liable for anyones ambitions on this update.

PSS thanks for starting this thread! I had such a hard time weeding though the pc stuff on this forum. (lazy me)

Hi. I'm trying to find a decent wave editor or subtractive synth for making kick drums. One that is Intel compatible. I've been using samples. I like them. But I hear you get better sounding kicks if you create your own. I'm using Live 6 and I don't have Operator yet. I may get it when I upgrade to Live 7.

Thanks for your help.

Get Kontakt, feed it with a sinus 50Hz, 2x pitch, 1x amp tweak, and you got a kick

And Logic sucks balls....I switched to Cubase /Mac.... but Cubase on Mac is a biatch, you got to please it so it pleases you ... hot rides:) Logic is a Granny , hehe

I just got a G4 ibook(OS X)....installed cubaseSX2, but when I want to open a cubase project,it says sample clock set to external sync and it wouldn't give me any outputs/no sound.Ive checked the system preferences but cant seem to find a solution to this problem.I only have the built-in/onboard audio card .... at the moment I only want to use it for basic midi arangements at work cause I do have another desktop set up with all the necessary audio equipment at home. I get sound through my audio players.Any people had this problem before?

Happy Days!

Bhooteshwara Records
Cubasing is like Freebasing, just with audio.
Both cost more than you can afford, and leaves you sitting in a dark room with no life, craving for more.

macs rule, so here I am with the first question

just bought logic 8 few days ago and I got a tiny "problem" (more some kind of a hassle)

I'm working with a motu ultralite, sometimes with my monitors in my studio room, sometimes with headphones somewhere else...so here is the problem: my monitors
are on output 1-2 of the card and my hp on output 13-14, so if I produced last on the monitors and want to do something on the hp now, I need to switch all channels to output 13-14 again

is there any way to do this easier? like a quick change for all channels or routing output 1-2 to output 13-14 or something?

some help would be much apprecated

just wanted to inform you guys that I got a solution, just in case anyone else is having a similar problem

go to the environment and simply select all channels you want to change while holding shift, and then change the output of one of them...then all change to this output you selected           https://soundcloud.com/hazak

but I always wondered where exactly the master fader sits in the signal flow...I know somewhere between the channels and the output, so I always thought its directly before the output...but if its directly before the output, its after the busses and will just lower the output of the bus, so inside the bus would be clipping...anyone gets what I try to say?

The master fader sits just before the physical outputs (the converters) so yes, you can clip a bus and your master display will not show clipping.

Also, can you assign the Headphones Out bus to Audio Out 1-2 ? then you will have the same signal in the headphones jack and in Output 1-2.

Regarding equipment:

Mac G5 Quad, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDDs.
Modified MOTU 828mkII
Logic Pro 8
Virus Ti desktop, Nord Lead 2X, Korg ER-1           YEEEEES!
