Let's give this a different spin. If the artist DJs very different music than that which he composes, then either his DJ set or his own music is touched by commercial ideals.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

i dont think so kaz, let me explain myself.
lets say artist x make a very good shiney morning music but not-so-educated organizators booked him and gived him a slot at 1.00 - 4.00, i dont think that in this case when artist will play/dj night stuff it will be caused by commerzial ideals, but by knowning and understanding of trance party needs.
samewhen organizators book some artist that known for his hard style to play at club, again, if he will dj housey music its more than ok imo, coze the needs of this specific party not so fit his own style in producing and he will spin whatever but not hardcore of him.
and so on and on. i think and belive that EVERY party have its own needs and Dj have to get a atmosphere and fit his set to specific location/hour and crowd. then its a good dj in my eyes.

In a Party or speaking about music, for example, the best thing is to have an open Mind.

imho, of course

imo low bpm sets can sound really smooth ... if it's mixed good , you get this extra punch kick that makes it sound faster .

I like dj's playing good tunes , no matter if they're unreleased or they are classics . old or fresh .

Well I have to clear only one thing on behalf of Oli ... He actually plays anything from minimal to full on, and doesnt stick to any specific style TOO much.. since he is a DJ for MOS many recognize him with the dark and tecky but he is also a part of Hinz & Kunz which is quite proggy and wiggley... Anyway to the subject - At the named party, I asked him not to play too much dark and technoey from the reasons we had at the particular night and so he did..

I am sorry for any inconvenience           A man with a "master plan" is often a woman
