YES and then everyone nags cries and complains in here cause there is no good music around and that there are labels not paying artists for their tracks and so ...

How can labels pay artists for their tracks if big labels all they are selling is around 400 cds more or less ! ?

You want artists to make good quality music support them by buying their music !!

what quality does everyone expect if you out there do not support your artists and labels !! ??

Artists need to buy their equipment to make music with labels need to buy the music from the artists money makes the music industry stronger and better with better qualities !!

You want the scene to get better with good quality ! ?

buy the music and support !!

You want crap releases with poor quality then just keep on downloading the music for FREE cause you don't know better !!

Educate yourselves or you just deserve what you get !

Buy albums you love when you have to money to..thats my philosophy on the situation..

As for my financial situation, I can't afford to buy every album that i'd like to, but I produce and need the influence..
I think that artists would at least appreciate that I'm influenced by and love listening to their music..

I agree with waht is said in this forum if you like the music buy it! If you don't like it don't! but all i want to say is that for me it's ok to download listen and then if you like it but it...because with so much music on the market it's easy to choose a cd that you think is good and then it's not so it's best to listen before you buy it!           Boom :)

Well, I wish I was a man who can afford every new album. I just choose an album (not more then 15 in a year) that I see as special & unique and that's what I buy. All the rest I download because I also buy books and DVDS.

well.......i think psytrance was meant to be doomed on the commercial aspect of it........

everyone wants to keep it "underground"..........but at the same time the artists and labels would like to sell cd.'s........

now......more than ever.......your able to get music for free on line......so many people do this.......

so it is tough for the labels and artists......

i believe it is very important to support the labels and artists.........

at the same time many people are not able to buy 20 cds a month........

i guess what i am trying to say is........

be conscience of supporting some of your favorite artists...........if you are able to buy a cd.......

Do it!

If an album really means something for you, even if you've already heard it a zillion times, don't hesitate and purchase it ! Owning the release in it's intended package makes it that much more special, and when listening to an audio CD that you bought, you tend to pay closer attention to it (at least I do, I want to get the most bang for my buck ! )

Plus, supporting good artists makes for a healthy scene.           Row row row your boats gently down the stream; merrily merrily merrily merrily life is but a dream.

I tot that money from live gig's/DJ set’s was enough for a producer/DJ? I mean, one doesn’t need money to get rich, but money to survive and pay off (if you got them) bills. And hey, are you travelling the world, well then food, shelter and love will properly be provided for “free” by friendly people on your path. The urge for more money is damaging. If a producer, like yourself Aldo get’s his music DL a lot by people, it will only result in more fame (people know you) and ergo more bookings. So maybe you don’t sell as many copies as you wish, but at least it will morph in other sides which can be considered a + in your book of life. – I’ve DL a lot of music, but I’ve also bought a lot of music. Hadn’t it been for DL I would never had discovered Infected Mushroom (psy-trance) that night I was looking for music to test my new bought Mexican Shrooms with. Like everything else in life, there is a plus and a minus, a ying and a yang. Take the good with the bad. I personally think DL is good for us. Aaand, also bad for us. Because of massive psy-trance mp3 p2p shearing, people are flooded with way to much music + No wonder our scene is so popular and watered out..

For the defence of originals, except the phenomenon of supporting the artist. I can’t see how a person DL trillions of albums can find true love? You don’t get to know a album as well. It all will be one big pile of music in the end. Not being able to separate them from each other. Again, you can’t possibly KNOW your music when you have 10 albums DL pr day. You miss out on the feeling of holding a original cover and CD in your hand. This is a addictive feeling. Mm, and I whore for it. Mp3’s are all ok. But where’s the charm? - About earning money. Get a (real) job, or prove your worth through time and hard work within live performances, DJ set's and production of music that will eventually become timeless and classic.

PS. I didn't read the initial post/thread by Butterfly Records because it's to long (I’ll print it and read it later).
So please excuse me if my words are off-topic and/or out of context.

More parties, more drugs, more ego, more money more of everything more more more more more more more more *KaaBOOOM!!!*

Besides, if an artist wants to make more money, take the battle with the "shops" out there.
