Nitrous tanks have been a staple of the Grateful Dead scene for years and years. And they've always been semi-illegal, meaning you can't lawfully possess a tank without a medical license. But you can still buy the little canisters at any headshop - they're meant for whipped cream dispensers, of course.
I think blaming the bad scene on the drugs is ridiculous. Drugs, in themselves, are not BAD, contrary to what our government wants us to think. Most great art, literature, and music has been created under the influence of something or other, or both. 
Of course, when drugs are used irresponsibly, bad things happen - when ANYTHING is done irresponsibly, bad things happen - take driving, for example. But when drugs are made illegal, much worse things happen. We should try to learn from such obvious examples, and let people be responsible for their own actions and their own bodies, as long as they don't harm anyone else. |

ballon r fucken kool stuff, if u like them
u can always not like them. or not use them, but from what i see many people like them.
and i am sorry but people Laughing and losing control sounds not so bad 2 me.
whats so bad about losing control?
also like who cares, this ballons things is much stronger than any thread in any forum
u can always choose 2 do what i did:
not going to psytrance parties, but this is another story.

i know at least one org group that love ballons and their parties heart is a big ballon (and some vip xxxl ballong for guets), its a very quality and great parties and never ever violence.
i myself dunno better way to wellcome afternoon but 6 ballons serie:)
better say thanx ghb is not so common at trance parties.

Look...People...I said it and I'll say it again, violent people are violent people.
It's people who LIKES being barbarian .
And the drug is not the excuse.
They will get violent on LSD,
They will get violent on XTC,
They will get violent on Alcohol
AND,They will get violent on Nitrox.
In the other hand nonviolent civilized people do NOT get violent by any of the following ; xtc,lsd,nitrox,alccohol etc...
And these are the people we wanna see in parties!
Not people who think you hit on their girlfriend and start hitting you. not people who thinks you're gay and start hitting you. You get the point!
But these people come to parties , because they also like the music and they also like the drugs and its something we can't _really_stop unless we organize a super hush hush parties from mouth to mouth PLUS big security and selections in the entrance. Tho, in one case, security didn't help much cause there wasn't enough.
I was in Sun pedro's party near Jerusalem , and the arabs did terror there... the security was afraid of them. _I_ needed to go calling them from the parking lot when Rinkadink was banned from his D.J stop .
What I am trying to say is , to organizers, get a lil bit more security and then perhaps we won't see so many violence! after all, it's their job...
Non of this was caused by Nitrox. Some of you just hate nitrox and try to give reasons why to hate it when there's no reason!

I dont agree with you here. FYI, in the 90s, the London Police (unofficialy, of course) stopped bothering the ecstasy oriented clubs and put most of its force on the alcohol oriented clubs. People on alcohol tend to be more violent than people of ecstasy. Fact.
Some drugs tend to make people more violent than others. Some of those are given by doctors 
I agree though that the balloons themselves are not the problem, but the ppl they bring with them. But that's medicine - you don't treat the symptoms if you can treat the sickness itself

Karnaf, I don't agree...because as I said, lets take me for example ; I get drunk and deal with it in a great way, plus with any other drug ...
But other people drink because they have low self esteem, so when they drink, they lose control and allow themselves to beat other people and act barbarian, see my point ?
people who cant allow themselves to lose control should not do it! if everyone took responsibility for themselves, we won't have violent parties..it's all about awareness...
I know weed makes me dumb and lazy so I stopped smoking it! if I knew alcohol would make me violent, I'd stop drinking it!

A thought crossed my head... if they sell 3 baloons for 20nis then 9 baloons full of stupid laughing gas worth the same as a mid price CD Nicey nice to see what most of us choose at any given time and it gives a lot of credit to the music we hear.
Except that - the example that Karnaf gave with the Alcohol versus Extasy is a fact, that came to it's existance thru a massive survey project so I wouldn't disregard it so easy. Anyway, from my own experience in the last 10 years, Alcohol is BY FAR more agressive drug than LSD or Extasy or smoking.
And specific to the baloons - actually I bet no one here has anything against using anything. Generally ( imo ) this is one of the stupidest things one can do ( same as sniffing glue and such ) but it is a free country after all. The main problem with this are the gangs that took control over the baloons last year seing the great business potential in it. The police is not a threat anymore and they can do what they want ( and they do )

So it was not the baloons, per se. If they were nice people, they would not have brought baseball bats to the party!!
So the problem is that you have delinquents attending your parties. This is, unfortunately, what often happens when "underground" scenes get too big, and start to attract unsavory types....people who wan tto go to "underground" parties because it's "cool" |

i realy dont know what to say
if those kind of baloon fights are happaning over and over again,
so why the organizers keeps bringing those sellers who ruin their parties.
personally i dont have a problem with baloons at parties... if someone wants to do a baloon then why not? who am i to tell him not to?
ppl do lots of things, as long as they dont hurt anyone then its fine by me.
its been told that the problem is with the sellers... so why the hell organizers bring sellers who keeps baseball bats with them????
like you cant know the difference between one who keeps one and one who dont....
