Ah OK, it is just misunderstanding in term underground.
Underground for me, is nature party without sponsors , advertisment, authorities etc...
That's all. (BTW, never said israel invented smth)
As for topic itself, for me party is a place where I go to "forget" my "regular" life, to dissolve in the air... to dig a huge hole and put there all my problems... Will the big sign of "Coca Cola" help me in this?
No, I don't think so... BUT, hey, that's just me.

may i suggest head phones with ur favourite trance cd then.. how many times hv ppl cribbed after the sound systems in their favourite clubs isnt upto the mark... or the effects werent that gud.. or ur favourite yin yang sign wasnt neon enuff or smthin..
if u can afford a party like this on ur own.. plz do throw one.. n do call all of us.. i wud luv to come buddy.. but if u cant then wat??
you are just jealous cuz the voices are talking to me and not u.. |

And who the hell need these big festivals anyway. Why do we need bigger and bigger. It just creates dependence and susteinability issues. It just does not make sense, unless it is for self gratification. |

Dear KAKOOLALAJWAL so you also use a pc and a mobile phone and i guess a car and lots of other multination corporations products,as you see it is impossible to live without all this stuff in our days,some use them less (like you do),some use them more (like i do) but in the end we all use them so accusing these companies while using their products is at least funny dont you think?
Like you said computers help this world BUT at the same time i have to remind you that computers are also responsible for the development of nuclear missiles and weapons,it works vice versa you see?
By the way the computer that you use 100% has stuff on it that was created in Mexico or India or Thailand or China by expoiting people (underage or not) and even your new Apple Pc will also feature similar items.By the way Bill Gates isnt one of the major people behind Apple or did he sold the company already to someone else?I mean if he is still involved with Apple and you buy an Apple computer then dont you just support one of the top ten richest people on the planet?Not very idealistic no?
Oh forgot to mention that your mobile is still a threat for your enviroment and yourself ofcourse 
Concerning that quality and quantity example that you gave well sorry but the second Samothraki had more than 50 artists if i remember correctly and they were the cream of our scene including people like Hallucinogen,Gabriel Le Mar,Prometheus,Tristan,Electric Universe,Man With No Name,X Dream,Son Kite and many many more.Big quantity doesnt always mean bad quality,with a big budget and wise thinking you can achieve both if you ask me.By the way while you like smaller events i like bigger events,but thats really a matter of taste i guess.
By the way you should tell to your friend that with a lot of cash and a good advising you can also get style in most of the situations

By the way i didnt knew that it is bad to be wealthy or poor or whatever.And just for your information Erevos in order to keep my business alive and kicking i work many hours per day having appointments with important people,waiting in banks and public sector offices,arranging logistics every night and other stuff like that,its not an easy task you know specially when people pay you 3-4 months after you offer them your services,banks you know dont accept delays when you owe them money
And yes i love money because they provide me with important things in my life such as the nice vacations i am going to have in Italy next week.I work to get them though,they dont just fall off the sky you know
CYBERPUNK excuse me but Underground parties dont get busted in Israel and all around the world?I think you make a mistake on this matter my friend.And by the way in Greece once a month i hear good djs from all around the world and specially England to perform on private events of 50-60 people.This was an every week phenomenon before 4-5 years.
P.S I am very happy that everyone participating in this topic keeps a nice level in the conversation and this shows that this forum hasnt lost all of its magic during the years passed since it was first launched long long time ago.

Mike, look, of course parties get busted, but this is the price we are willing to pay fo the freedom.
And I am not talking about 50-60 ppl, I am talking about parties for 700 - 1000 sometimes 1500 - 2000 men.
That's all.
And at the end, it always comes to the personal taste.

Man, this thread has gone to far i think.. There's no point in trying to assimilate the people because they don't think the same way as us.
In our scene, there is room for parties with sponsors and parties without sponsors. There will be both for us to choose from but none are more ethical than the other. We as humains have the choice to attend the party we feel best suits our needs, and if you believe that the HUGE upcomming festival with a bunch of big names isn't nessisary to have a blast at a party, then by all means please dont attend that party and stick with your usual crew of people dancing at the local underground venue. There are other's who party once or twice a year, and they need a little more than the local's to get there ass out of there house and back on the dancefloor, so big festival's are needed at least once a year, and great if sponsors such as coke can help make this happen.. without these big festivals bringing in new people who normally would have never been attending a psytrance event IS THE WAY OUR SCENE GROWS.. wether your like it or not. accept it or dont, or maybe you don't care if the scene grows or not. and hey, if you don't, that's cool too because it isn't always about the quantity right?
I honestly don't believe that a coke banner above the stage will stop me from enjoying the music being spit out by the speakers.. when i dance, most of the time my eye's are closed so what difference does it make in the end?? Excepte that you can tell people that you witnessed GMS, HALUCINOGEN, X-DREAM, THE DELTA, JOTI, WIZZY NOISE, SON KITE, TICON and MIDI MILIZ all LIVE at the same party.. sounds like fun no?

The scene doesn't grow through huge organized legal raves. The numbers of $$ grow maybe because of the number of ravers who are there, but not the strength of the community.
The community grows through free underground parties under the moonlight on the beach or in the forest or in a warehouse with beautiful psychedelic backdrops and dancers. One or two or three new people come each time, and low a behold, where you had 100 people 2 years ago, you have 400 now, and they are all friends, and you respect and trust all of them, and don't have to pick cigarette butts off the ground after you're done.
so yes, there are two different outlooks, and I guess they will have to coexist in this world.

Forgive me for adding my 2 cents here, but I have never understood the necessity for multiple thousand people parties? When I first started going to raves, I went to massives and had a very difficult time connecting to the energy of the event. I had a difficult time meeting people and fully feeling comfortable in that situation. We all know that the US psytrance scene is incredibly small compared to many other countries, but at the same time I do get the feeling of being better connected when going to smaller events. Sure we might not get to see 10 large headlining acts at the same show, but we might have 3 different events that have 3 artists there withing 6 months of each other... And the organizers of the event didn't have to seek outside sponsorship to keep from losing their shirts. They did separate fundraising for the event throughout the year, and poured their own personal finances into these events...
I also have had friends lose lots of money on larger events too, because they were underattended and the lot, but at the end of the day they still threw more parties because they enjoyed seeing their friends and themselves out doing what they loved so much.
