Spiritual or not?

ive never been religious or spritual in my life......but trance music does invoke some inner sense of mine.....dunno if its spiritual but yes this music has changed my attitude towards life and people in a way which could never have been better........

I can see that i am not so much alone beleiveing that we can make a change in this world! We have to start making more spiritual music so we can have a more spiritual people and the vibe will be amazing through this thread i find energy to continue my mission!

For the believers in the Psy Trance spiritual value, I have a few questions :
1. Causality or correlation ? Is Psy Trance the very REASON you got "enlightened", or was it a soundtrack to it, some kind of helping hand ?
2. Deep change or superficial change ? I have a hard time believing that listening to a certain kind of music is enough to lead you to a higher state of consciousness. To take a worn-out example, it took Siddharta tremendous efforts to become Buddha. And today, by simply listening to Astrix while smoking some ganja, here it is, everyone can get the whole picture ?
No disrespect intended here : I'm ready to believe you when you say you reached some superstate of consciousness. But I'm pretty sure there were more things that happened in your life which led you here, apart from musical notes.

Dear Jeff, all i can say is that it took me a long time of parties to get there and it took also my beleive that there was something more in the music than just sounds. Music is feeling isn't? So think about the best feeling a human can get from the music? ok now think that feeling for you at that moment is soooo great remember you are fully into the music you do not care about the outer side anymore it's just you feeling great ok...now think that feeling multiply it by a few thousand people all with the same feeling all the same energy, all loving the music in the same way and all dancing at the same time! got it? That's what we are talking about in this thread when i said enlightenment it does not mean that we become buddha or Jesus Christ but it means that we make a step forward towards enlightenment! I do not consider myself enlightened but i consider myslef a good person and i want to do everything possible in my life to provide a path to a multinational tribe of doing the good thing to each other and to others...Music is the path i am working on because it attracts so many people and if it is made from pure love and dedication it will turn many souls to the right path!

well i not chasing to reach any spritual level as of yet.......so this thought has never crossed my mind
but if the music is good then it takes me do a different level of conciousness.........dunno if thats what receiving spiritual healing is
sadly these days less and lesser music evokes any sort of feeling in me

Its not just the way the music makes my body feel, but my mind. Its almost numbing, and clears your head to make way for my higher and more intelliegent thoughts. Also the sounds used seperatly and combined put your mind in that PERFECT state of mind. And like gangagil said, when everyone on the dancefloor is having that same feeling and state of conciousness its a combined energy flow outwards towards the others that might not feel like that. It grows on you because you become more aware of the spiritual energy around you, and that is when the whole dancefloor is smiling and happy 
And another thing is many of the sounds used are funny! I find myself laughing at tracks because they make me remember and think about funny things and childhood memories, which are always happy. Everyone wants to get all the laughs they can get, cause those endorphines released are calming on the soul and mind, and therefore HEALING!

okay ganja, I think you made your point pretty clear for me now. If I may, I'd sumarize it as this :
1. Psy Trance is a music stimulating YOU (physically, intellectually, whatever) to a high degree,
2. Besides, you feel there's an intense sense of community in the Psy scene,
3. Therefore, you try to use this musical context to make the people involved in it better individuals (yourself included), and the whole world as a consequence in the long term.
I fully agree with these noble intentions. Though, all of this could have happened (and probably happens) in any other musical scene I guess. It happened to be Psy Trance for you because Psy Trance talks to you much more than, let say, Hip Hop music.
Which brings me to my point : Psy Trance has a spiritual value through the way it makes you feel and ultimately behave toward your surrounding, but not really in itself.
