Really? Have you heard it? I am interested in buying this too, but I think the TC Native reverb is not that great, I have better software reverbs, 2 of them being freeware.
For the soundcard: RME equipment is meant to be excellent if you can afford it.

Saxopholus: The TC software reverb is completely different from the Powercore reverb. Their Megareverb is really something special. Also, with powercore you can run the X3, which is the same as a TC finalizer, but you can run it on your dsp card. The plugins are hi-end quality. From what i've heard Powercore, UAD-1 and Protools are the only DSP cards that have professional hi-end quality. The reverbs that are released on the Pulsar platform are said to be of lower quality. Of course it's best to hear it for yourself at your local dealer. I have ordered a Powercore last week, so i will update you on the quality of the effects next week =))) |

hi there people:)
im intending to buy a soundcard (pci) and i have two choice to buy, right now..
the first one is audiophile 2496 and the second choice is e-mu 1211...
i would be more interested to hear what people has to say about e-mu 1211 
any experiences? something you've read or heard about it?

Well, my TC Electronics Powercore DSP card finally arrived (it took some time for customs to clear the package). I can really recommend this one, the reverbs on this card are really great sounding and transparent, and i finally have my processor freed up again for more synths and fx. I also really like the 24/7-c compressor that comes with this card, it's great for basslines.
Recommended !

i'm looking for a new sound card as a part of my upgrade that i'm attend to do in the next couple of months...
can you tell me what qualities should i look for in a good(!) sound card
to keep it short , any info on how to choose the ideal sound card in electronic music.

- do u need external equipent ?
---> get one with midi n analog in/out
- do u wana just use soft ?
---> get one with fast drivers/low latency ( asio-driver )
- is it for mobile use ?
---> chk firewire or pcmcia ( firewire is cheaper n more versitile, though mostly not as fast )

hhh great let me be more specific...
i'll not going to work on external equipent
at this time but later on i whould.
i defentlu use software that means lots of vst and plugins ( so i need low latency one no?)
i work on fruity if its a help and reason

also try to use search...

it s always good if ppl u know ( not via cyberspace ) are happy with certain product.
