OFFTOPIC : I'm not american, but I also object to people using this tragic incident as an argument for their anti-gun hippy agenda. People will be able to purchase guns even if they're completely illegal... and people have been killing each other long before guns existed...if it wasn't a gun this guy would use a sword or something... guns aren't the problem, individuals which this society is creating are.
Out of respect for the people involved in this and the original topic, I'm not posting any more replies regarding this, so if you want to discuss gun-laws PM me.          We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love... and then we return home.

My heart felt condolensces to the people who lost their lives and all their friends and family. And lets all pray for the ones fighting for their lives.

Availability of guns in the market easily only gives chances to people who are mentally disturbed to go buy one and wreck havoc wherever they want to and take innocent lives as this lunatic has done. Now, this is not the only case in America, you hear of such luntaics killing innocent people atleast once in a year in some part of the country. This is not the case in other parts of the world where guns are really hard to get in possession. I think this kind of crimes will surely go down if a civilian CANNOT buy a gun in the market as easily as he can do now in this country.           We meditate upon the Spiritual Effulgence of That Adorable Supreme Divine Reality, the Source of the Physical, the Astral, and the Heavenly Spheres of Existence. May That Supreme Divine Being enlighten our Intellect So we may realise the Supreme Truth.

Condolences...I hope you can all feel the love being sent your way and that in some small way that helps in getting through this sad and angry time.

If you want more info regarding gun laws in WA state read http://www.bradycampaign.org/legislation/state/viewstate.php?st=wa
A comedian once said that alot of the gun problems would be solved if they sold bullets for $10,000 each....maybe not such a bad idea..

this should end this conversation on gun laws

the gun he used was a pistol grip shotgun. A weapon illegal in all but a very few US states
Not a pistol, not a hunting rifle, but a modified weapon that, to quote Seattles police chief, " is not used for hunting game, but for hunting people"

now please people this thread is not about political views or aggendas, keep to what it should be about please....

I have always been worried about people in the Psytrance and rave scenes being to trusting.
For Example:
BTS (A.K.A. - Brooklyn Terror Squad) made a name for themselves in the 1990's for be-friending E-tarded ravers in New York, going to an afterparty at the E-Tarded ravers house, then tieing up the hippies with a phone cord and proceeding to rob the house of everything of Value.
Be careful, and use common sense.
I for one, suggest never having an afterparty at a house, it is much safer to have it an after-hours club with security.

the victims are allways inoccent and the killers allways sense and heartless! i dont think u guys should stop inviting people to join u,thats a beautiful thing to do! this crul random act should not close your hearts!!!
i was in SanFran 4 months ago and was invited to the home of "complete strangers" after the new years party, they took care of me cause i had no where to go,i cant tell u guys how thankfull i am!!!

I just found this thread... The people from 2112 are my friends. The shootings happenend three blocks away from my house and had I not been in Miami for WMC, I would have been there. These people are my friends, business partners and fellow music enthusiasts. These tragedies have affected people far and wide just as much as they have affected those that new the victims.

I thank you all for the kind words. Trust me that the victims and their families are hearing them. The only silver lining is the amazing outpouring of support from the community. Right now, the people displaced by what happened are eager to find a new home and start putting together the pieces of their lives. Expenses are high, but so is community support. And by community, I mean the entire city of Seattle as well as the music community across the world. We are all bound together.

On Saturday, April 29th there will be a memorial at the Seattle Center called In Loving Memory, a Celebration of Seattle Music Culture. Artists representing the styles most loved by the victims and the major Seattle Music Communities like Venetian Snares, Dan Doormouse, Barry Curtis, DJ Dan, Donald Glaude, PURE Cirkus and more have all donated their time to perform. It will be from 10am to dusk. Please got to http://www.inlovingmemoryseattle.org. If you have the opportunity, come out and support us. If not, send your thoughts and support, trust me when I say we feel it.
