I woke up to this all over CNN....
And it had nothing to do with the gathering they had all been too... just a decompression party... with an uninvited guest.

Kind of unnerving... The last part of the page I linked to sent chills down my spine. Wrong place, wrong time on multiple levels.
I really want to say I dont see anything like this happening and the SouthernCali psytrance scene. Or the NorCal.
I hope this never happens again, anywhere, ever. I don't know what else to say. |

My thoughts and heart go out to those affected. This is extremely sad news.
It could happen anywhere, the city is not relevant. Can't imagine what set this off.
Calling Seattle friends to see if they are ok now. |

just saw it on cbs...
was quite shocked....lucky for the orgs it seems it was clearly mentioned that drugs are not allowed...and the organiser was clear in explaining that..and even the presenter seemed to be a little open minded and not ridicule the entire rave scene and accuse the unfortunate events due to drug usage etc..
all in all very very sad... deepest condolences .... |

this is just damn awful. this is a tragic time, my heart goes out to the northwest psyscene
this passage in particular hit me:

it absolutely kills me to see stuff like this.....these are people who are dedicated to spreading the psy scene......they need to be here on earth

@bodhi - the police said they don't think they will ever know the motive, or why the word NOW was spraypainted multiple times on the way from his truck to the house.

there are a few SF heads that knew these people and have in fact been to and played at that house. I wont announce who they are, its up to them if they feel they want to bring themselves into this......
Its a horrible tragic event, and just completley senseless. This was at a afterparty no-different than the ones we all go to regularly....

does anyone have a link to the article which mentions psy trance\who these people were? The two articles on top dont even mention the killers name....
my condolences to the family/friends of all involved...

just wrong. so wrong on so many levels. this could've happened to anybody, at anytime, in any city as was previously noted.
it just so happened that these folks were at a rave. a sad day indeed, we should have a memorial service at the next outdoor party or even setup a paypal account for the families of the victims. if everybody kicked down a $1, it might just show the community exactly how tight-knit of a family we really are, nationally.
i know most promoters only try to barely break even these days, but maybe somebody can set something up for a bigger party where you donate $0.50 per paid ticket and ship it off to the victims. i wish i knew how to set something like that up, but i wouldn't even know where to begin.
just an idea.
We are all family. We put the fun in disfunctional.
