The same happend with progressive some years ago, and the full-on hard-core supporters.
"progressive is not psy, its empty , not the same crowd, etc, etc, etc"
whatever mate, i'm creating bridges your creating walls
and coming from people that call themselves tolerant and open minded this is quite ironic.
"we are one" remember?
But i gues for some is "we are one as long as its inside the psy scene otherwise we are 6.000.000.000 " |

@ spasm
did you have a look at the videos in the history section....??
are they similar to psy parties?
an indoor expo centre.....when boom will become like this i will build hypersonic walls and hide in a bunker....
we can still be one and have different tastes...its just how open YOUR mind is....and admitting that putting psy and techno together nowadays is like mixing shit and chocolate.....(not because one is good and one bad but just because they are very different...)

i still fail to see how can techno be more psychedelic than psytrance anyways if you are happy.....and reach that trance state of deep psychedelic experiences....i am happy for you.....
lets stick to the relationship between them not at choosing what is better.....or more psy....in each other opinion.....
i accept your music....like the psychedelic community does..... i just dont want festivals like the one i showed you, for psy parties...agreed?
you will appreciate that www.technoforum.org exists, and is full of people that think the same way you do....!!!
thanks

I also dont want that ALL psy-trance parties become a Generalistic event with multi-stages.....and one thing very important to this discussion: we are talking about tecnho or electro not artists who incorporate some of these elements in their music!!!!! There is a diffrence......Massive respect to Carl Cox or Felix da Housecat but i would not like to see them in "all the psy-parties"....
Diversity goes both ways : acceptance and the right for identity.

well you start saying that you respect the music that I like and I respect it too but then you continue to speak like a typical narrow minded psy trancer...sorry but I can't agree with you.And since you speak for boom I think that you know that this year will host and a techno/electronic stage...I am sure that you will listen plenty of techno in the main stage also..we live in 2008,things has changed!you just have to accept it!

Well money talks louder....and if it starts there is no stoping!!!!! 95% of promotores couldnt care less about it....
I myself thrive for diversity....the global sense comes from accepting all cultural phenomenas not merging all realities - you can see whats happening in the world of the merging globalization : dialects disappear, "old" knowledge gone, identity`s dissapearing....just to name a few!!!!
Identity is a positive thing when you take the ego (that causes insecurity and agressive postures) and learn to accept/understand the diversity. This diversity is the key to survive/evolve, its like watching the "same thing" on different shapes, sounds, concepts....

sure for the same reason why Carl Cox and Jeff Mills dont.
The crowd, is a diferent one from tech/minimal, but the crowd from tech/minimal electro prog, is the same within the psy comunity, just not you.. and NIKTHEQUICK |

maybe, you dont know what psychedelic means..
But, i really dont care what you fail to see, that's your problem,
Others do, like most of the more respectfull musicians this scene ever produced, and honestly i prefer their point of view to yours, thank you. |

Ellon I think you don't really have a good grasp on what's going. A lot of the things that you say is the same popular statements that a lot of people say. Maybe that is the case with you, but me myself as a promoter and the friends that I have that have their own collectives that promote events and parties do not fit in the same mold of promoters that you talk about.
Plus you seem to have a bias against Progressive and techno, this is just what i have observed in some of your comments, but you say you are all for diversity. I don't know, it seems to be some what contradictory.

Jajaja what is funny here is that in every genre there is good stuff and pretty bad stuff
For instance in trance we have vibrasphere and solar fields and... Armin and Tiesto that are completely domesticated trance merged with pop music
Then for example there is Ocelot, Mr peculiar, Scorb, Oood and we have also Dali, Bizzarre contact, eskimo, skazi etc that is pop on steroids.
Then in techno is Stephan bodzin, Hawkin, Dusty kid and so there is also guys developing poppy sounds like Samim or Eric Pryds (who can do both good and and bad tracks) or Umek whos time to time make a poppy song.
Any way i think those people who enjoy good psy, good techno and good prog would be very happy of having diverse parties
