Techno has had a massive influence on psychedelic trance. Fusion between these two styles in "Techtrance" has been perfected by the likes of midimiliz, x dream, triac, authentik, opsis. Lately, i have been listening to a lot more straight techno. I find it to be psychedelic and often more innovative than the latest psytrance, especially artists like adam beyer plastikman, neil langstromm, nathan fake. I was wondering, do these artists ever share a stage with psy artists/djs? In your respective countries how much effort has been made to merge high quality techno parties with psytrance parties? Would this union work? This kind of integration at the level of the event could lead to a burst of new musical ideas on both sides by both giving the audiences a taste of new types of grooves and sounds and the artists new elements for their tracks.           ein chadash tachat hashemesh. there is nothing new under the sun. --kohelet.

after me george john delkos, peter didjital nad perfect stranger were more in the tech minimal and some electro side of musik(well ok,yuli had a psychedelic part also hehehe).i had great time and the musik from all artists was super, but i think that still things are a bit not ready.i am talking about ppl here, not ready to accept techno in a trance party.i mean everbody wwas dancing and had a good time but i was also told couple of times "come on,qont they play a little bit harder than this??           Signature:

techtrance is the latest bigger trend hitting the psy-scene. it can be very refreshing especially if you compare it with fullon or progtrance since the track structure is often not so straight forward.
fusion parties are always a good idea and here in finland it would mean going back to the roots. parties in the early to mid 90's were often fusion parties with all kinds of electronic music. i enjoyed these ones much since you could always find a room that fit your mood. hopefully this'll be the future too...           "no one ever sweats on a plug-in" -moby

It's all cycles.... in around 2000 the techtrance really took hold and was one of the more prominent substyles in psychedelic trance... it's only fitting that it will come back again in 8-10 years....           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

yes i agree with ZeRo absolutly, and i'm glad to see i'm not the only one, the latest techno, and even hawtin/vath can be much more apeeling to me, then most of the boredom coming from psytrance lately, i sure do hope that these genres will blend in the future, and in parties too

I've noticed that many of my favorite artists are turning more to techy sounding tunes. As Mubali stated earlier, cycles. It's a good thing for now.            "On the path of spirituality, one ventures to vanquish one’s own faults rather than to judge others"

We most al remember that before trance, techno was the music of raves.

Here in mexico last year Sounds of earth made a party including psy, prog, electro and techno and people was enjoying everything.

What about minilogue at parties ??? its very cool to slow down things and dance to a slow beat.

But for mr the king of psychdelica intechno is Stephan bodzin, he has really twisted tunes.

I believe that the rebirth of tech trance is quit near..Not actually the typical tech trance but something new and unexpected...1998 x-dream - radio hit the scene and everyone goes techno,2008 the new The Delta called Minusman is coming...and since the path is opened from minimal techno it's more easy to be accepted by people again.everyone has to do with this, many trance projects started to produce techno lately.Sure I am open to listen techno in trance parties because I just listen almost only techno lately! at last sonica the techno worked perfectly to the crowd, espesually some times the alternative stage was more crowded than the main!killer lysergic techno set from joti aka psychaos there!the only sure is that the place of the events have to offer strictly good sound...many places here in Greece don't have the sound that needed and the result is techno to be a little boring for the most trance people here           www.myspace.com/tasos_notrea

a lot of the old goa trance from like 94, 95 has loads of acid techno influence. You think it is fair to say that the electronic psychedelic sound came from acid techno? I think it is. Im talkin about the sounds that came from the roland synthesizers back in the day, lots of those sounds in the acid techno and acid house of that time period.

i loved techno for quite a while....but since i was listening to it (1999)...last party was loveparade (2002)...i didnt notice much change....and now, when friends play, it sounds pretty similar to what it used to be......

definetely there used to be big influences from techno when psy was being born......and some artist nowadays from a spectrum of the psy world (mainly prog or tech orientated) are turning to it again.....

but now i dont see any relationship between the broader psy world and the techno world....
psy evolved at an incredible pace (then we can argue that this was not a positive change....but at least innovative) while techno stayed more or less the same if not for some electro influences...

i think Outolintu got it...it sounds more refreshing than prog or full on cos of the more interesting track structure....and to someone who did not get into to it before it sounds very advanced and innovative....to me it sounds as it used to!!

i personally prefer techno over psytrance.
especially seeing that psytrance is stucked up in an endless loop in itself.
copy paste music for 2-3 years now?

like i mentioned above i have nothing against techno and it can be very refreshing for psy ears but techno hasn't evolved very much for 10 years or so but that's one of it's charms...

talking about repetetiveness. a 4 bar loop and the girl is (poorly) adding some basic efx on it. not a very demanding crowd i reckon i wouldn't say this a very good example of innovative and fresh techno...

what do you think of this:

...but maybe this isn't techno anymore. just freakin good tunes
