Hello 
im dj and producer from israel.
most of my set is actually my own music and stuff i have from my label and friends-artists that host in our studio. so this problem is not so much about me but i have my opinion:
the story in psytrance in complicated more then other musics due to the fact a track after realese and 50 parties around the world it become "old" and "known". at this point most dj get the cd out of the case and never play it again.
now if u play for fun in friends party it would be very much $ to buy new case evry 3-4 months.
so some download mp3..
but, i buy this week cd's realesed in 2001 (haltya and pelinpala) cause i still listen to them and play them alot (admit.. i copied them once before.. from original copy tho for the benefit of the listener - also before i got paid for set)
so realy good trance cd is one lasting more then 3-4 months. then it become realy worth to buy.
and i know i make less $ for that way.. but thats reality , this is the way 50% of the world works.. nothing i can do about it
and neither i will buy cd before pre listen to mp3 version (saiko sound promo also is good since its 4:00 min.)
today im sorry to say alot of crap hit the market (labels fault) and evry one loose intrest after couple of listens so why to spend any $ for that?
now for payiment dj's its diffrent story, buy the music! this is what u paid for.since i play with payment and not bag to play in small parties i made nice $ and bought almost with all of that cd's and cdj's
beside.. its real fun to get new cd's in mail

straros certainly have a ponit.I got over 1000 trance cd's and i 've bought only the 200 of them. What should i do?? Spent all my salary on cd and vinyls. Good music kills piracy. As far as it conserns th dj's is another matter.
