I know more than 50"""""""" djs"""""" in this country
Most of them they re not professional , they make it just for fun, for the music , for the girls , for any reason ....
i dont care why
Finaly who"s the real Dj ?
Who spend more than one euro for a F...g Vinyl or cd or at least to buy a wave or mp3 file ?
Who knows to mix ???????? Who feel the crowd ??????
You can call yourself ' DJ' cause you bought a couple of cdj and mixer also you played at private party or a main event for 0 Euro dj fee
Who's responsible for this shits ? The labels ? Promoters?
record shops ? mentality ?????
Have you ever thought the problem ??????
I am sure that you never because YOU Spent your time copying cds or looking for unreleased tracks or answering to the stupid topics of this website or licking some a...s to get a gig for free
If you realy want this scene to survive i YOU DJS HAVE to stop sharing your music on the net , stop copying, stop playing better !!!! If you realy want to be a dj , you need to spend something for this ....then i am sure that you ll get the chance to have a proper gig !!!!!!!!!!

This topic begins from the music factories. In my opinion i dont think that mp3s or copying the cds kills the music. Personally i have learn the most djs and artists from mp3s than from a original cd. because the factories do not give us some normal price to can every one buy cds. If the (mp3) album its a good release i'll give money to buy it. but i cant give for all these albums. i must choooooose! If p.x. i hear a track from narcosis and i like it, i'll go to hear him. I'll pay the artist. As for the djs if you think that she or he uses mp3s or copying music do not go hear them. but its difficult to understant this... respect.

goodmorning Strato  thats a nice topic u made.
So my opinion is this... For sure a person that give many money at vinyls or cds, is not a dj. Also a person that owns a mixer in his home is not a dj. A dj must have many abilities to be liked from the people. For sure mixing skills and good sound quality r basic things...but u need more to be a good dj.
i dont think its bad to play a wav file that one artist gave to me.
but for sure is bad if i find one unreleased track in the net,in bad mp3 quality,from some net music traders, and go play it in front of 500 people...
I think that the problem is not coming only from the dj's side. They r not the only ones that trade music. I know djs that they never give unreleased music to others. I know artists that give music everywhere so they can become more famous. I know labels that also trade to net some tracks that they will not release finally. So this hole story is not only from djs ,but from people that dont respect something.

xm! And who is professional? The one who has original cd's? Yeap we saw them too (tous eidame ki autous!) So what if someone has cdj or he play at prive? What does that mean? How do you expect to be someone professionl when we have 100 djs and only 1 Neraida doing parties? Weak up what professional and bul.....t , we are talking about trance here not Ibiza! Get a life!

i know some djs their pocket is not so heavy but if one cd is very special they try to buy that..
there are so many releases and its logical for one call himselve dj that its impossible to buy all the cds original but i think it will be good for him and the music he like to support sometimes the scene buying an original cd..
for me at thessaloniki there are a few good djs..
some of them maybe are not professional but its ok! 
now about who is a real DJ OR NOT let the ppl decide about that..

Narcosis & Absolut : I think 9euro or 10 euro are realy cheap price for cds .... if you dont know where to find them i can give you a list with our local cheap record stores, online shops and Download shops.
Also ther re some other ways to get some promos or free music for the labels , from the artist... (good connections, cd reviews and more....)
Hey Griniaris thats the problem ,,,,, we have 100 djs and only one party place . Who is a real dj of them ????
Maybe you dont realize that some people survive from trance its not only the feeling .About its my normal work as a dj or label manager .... so i have to be pro in my buisness .. if we dont try to be pro maybe we ll not have the chance to make parties at neraida or any neraida. So lets make it like Ibiza
they know something more thats why re full clubs and parties. (trance - house any kind)
What do u think that is trance ????

The scene is dead already and I don't think it was ever alive! What are you talking about? What scene? You mean the scene with all the burned inside the parties? Yes thats the scene of trance with this quality music dab dub dab dub mpota! Jesus! Who gives a f...k about the companies and the djs! If I want a cdj with trance I copy it and if I want quality music I buy it.

first i dont think people playing with copy cds,or mp3 or wav.is so bad ,not all people trying to play are promoted by labels or have money to buy cds that cost 15-25 euros, years ago we use to use tapes and dats to play so ?.....second every1 has a reason to play others is spiritual or money or whatever///but i agree on 1 think that griniaris said sceene bye bye .. |

yap,i second that!!besides,what if someone has unreleased musik,given to him straight from the artist??he can not play those traxx?i am not a professional(and i dont think that there are many of them in here),i dont live from djing and it is not possible for me to buyall the cds i want!!i prefer save my money in order to buy smthg to improove mu musik's quality because equiptment is expensive u know.so maybe i will produce some trxx,make releases,get signed in a lebel,get free cds and promo and become a real professional dj hehehehehe

the copy of music is a well knowned problem
and we talked about it over and over again..
its a global phenomeno and it isn't only about trance ..
Well the trance scene is too small so copying music hurt it badly..
Artists know that .. so they try to make some money throw the lives not from the sells , labels know that and the label managers try to find solutions .. online music stores,download stores etc..
Police knew that .. and if you search this forum you 'll find stories about arresting djs who haved copied music in their case ..
at France and England..
I personally won't stop download music .. cause throw this i can discover new genres .. new artists..unreleased tracks etc.. and everybody do it nowdays.. for home listening
Todays compressions are excelant,an mp3 at 320kbps have no difference from an original track ..or even if it has is to difficult to understand ..
The bigger problem in greece ,is that everybody wants to be a dj .. i keep a phrase ->'we have 100 djs and only 1 Neraida doing parties?'<-
We can help the scene throw a lot of differend ways , in order to have progress
we must have qualified vjs , deco teams , promoters ,graphic desiners etc..
In thessaloniki there is a list of some good djs ..
who feel the sound and the growd ,I'm glad that my teamates are members of this list
But there isn't only the skill that make you survive and move on ,you must have attitude.
Finally, to the topic..
It isn't easy to bye whatever you want to listen .. but if you download a release that you like its good to bye the original to support the artist .. especially if you are a dj and you want to play it at your gigs..

im going to support all of these that movek and x-rust wrote and something else with all my respect
u speak and judge like what ?have you ever ask ur self as label owner what people want to hear ?why we have 10 new labels every week?why some labels are one the top and others realese a complication once every 2 years and thats for the trash?why you dont take new artist in ur labels that have the skills and emailing u like as....es and the dont take any answer? i beleive that many are the problems and mp3 trading is one of thoose but is the one that hurt more than the others @@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Maidex has right,we have so many artists in greece that loking for labels at europe and israel.Neomatic,Atropa,Solar fx,Cymaz and many many more,if you search at all the forums you'll see greeks trying to posttheir stuff.
Probably you are out of work as a dj thats why you post this
