Guitars can add another dimension to the song...more emotion, more power.
Also it can make a track sound much more interesting & complex.
I love it,but only when used in a proper way!

Yea Silent Scream, Juno Reactor's "Pistolero" is a good example.

Gutiars like "1200 Mics - Acid for nothing" are great in Psytrance music, they returns to the beginning of the free partys in 60's. |

Its a matter of taste really, personally Im not mad about the big heavy metal guitars (my metal days are over) but then again, a guitar is an instrument, just like a synth and if it sounds good use it. What Id like to see more of is Pink Floyd´esque guitars. If you listen to some stuff like shpongle or whatever you´ll often find guitars that dont sound so abvious. They´re more like ambiences and they give a great eery effect to a track. Im just a little bored with the old chug chug distortion riffs everyone is so mad about. |

What is used in Popstream - Rip Stringer? I really enjoyed it and rarely hear it in other tracks.
