Wasn't that tried already? I heard stories but I didn't goto BRC for the first time until 2006. I know I totally missed all the good times and it was so much better earlier than I went 
I love regional burns and BRC has definately helped me enormously in life in some way. |

back in 96....when we had the first psytrance stage out there (koxbox spacetribe etc...) it was like a mile and a half AWAY from everything, that was great

definitely doing our own thing! look at all that...space! There was one year when a giant reaper flamethower on cart wheels, huge thing pulled up to goa gil straight in front to torch the entire stage if he didnt stop playing! eventually they left....
As for the petition, the signatures seem, um , a bit questionable.....anyone look closer?
Burning will always morph and change and unless you are a TOTAL hater you can always find some way to have a meaningful experience there, if not, camp with different people! seriously....it can add a whole new spin!
by the way.... music is auditory? and art generally visual?

i worship satan, there forth i'm not an artist, i'm a satanist. oh yeah, and i also smoke crack, do happy-hippy-dances and that's immoral.
(i thought hippies smoked pot and had lsd, not crack smoking and satan worshiping).
and of course - physicists are the people with the GREATEST knowledge and discernment about art and music.
(i thought physics was all about particles, atoms, forces and stuff. oh yeah, art is all about neutrons and magnetism, so physicists are the only people that can REALLY tell whatever something is artistic or not.)

Hey everyone - I'm Sparkle from Outpost23.
For the record, I wrote this petition. Every word. And yes for the bent out of shape on this forum, I AM a psytrance DJ.
It came from an experience from a camp next to us DEMANDING we turn off our music back at Burningman 04. Long story short I was yelling at him with my megaphone two feet away from him (on enough goofballs to where I shouldn't of even been ABLE to get angry) and finally out of a bit of desperation told him he was fucking with my art.
He replied, "This isn't art!!" Wrong answer! It was suddenly like an old western and the tumbleweeds flew on by..
And so it was born, Psytrance Is Not Art!
And in a way to turn something negative into something positive I drafted the petition and we went around BM 05 getting signatures. Oddly enough one of the signatures is from a member of the neighboring camp from the year before. Brilliant! Thanks for giving us something totally obnoxious to fuck with people with.
I've actually had trancers get in my face cuz they thought it was real! LOL.
To those who got butthurt reading it:
HAHAHAHAHA; take a step back and look at the big picture!
