What is the real history of burning man?
I heard a stupid thing but if its true, maybe they have already change it.
While ago someone told me that there was one Guy got broken hearted because his girlfriend fallin' love with another Man. And the looser went to the dessert, create a sculpture of the other Man and burn it to release his anger. If its true, sounds stupid for me, because the other guy has nothing to do with him. He should clear it up with his girlfriend.
I hope this is not a true story.
Maybe that means ART for them.
If it is true, no wonder why I never interested with BM.

Sounds like it could be real story not the BS they say.
Anyway who really cares as Burning Man now just as commercial as Disney Land with all involved making big bucks! including the cops who extracted there share from me LAST time i attended. |

I can find the humor in this petition but the offensive part is that a lot of burners really feel like this. I wont say that BM is a load of crap but from what it's become and the amount of the burners I've come across have really turned me off to the idea of ever going to BM. I don't want to spend a week (not even one night) with people who are constantly smelling their own shit and prefer that you smell it too. Burner's to me seem to be ravers that grew older, got jobs, acquired decent salaries as well as a better than thou outlook on everyone else.
With the way things are going, and the commercial, playa-elitist path this festival has taken, I'm BM will destroy itself within the next couple of years.

You know, my experiences at burning man were indeed lifechanging... And you can have a phenomenal time, just like you can in any city... you just have to know where to go and who to hang out with.

I listen to psy quite a bit, year round. Whats one week with crappy house and breaks? It'll definitely get me away from the speakers and into something really cool, like a 2mi conga line, or jumping on a trampoline with other naked people, or cartwheeling down the street with a group of people on their way to a bondage class.
Just because you're on vacation doesn't mean you need to be stuck in front of psytrance-laden speakers the whole time.
If you DO want something like that - BOOM.
Otherwise, expand your mind. When life gives you lemons, make strawberry lemonade. |

Well - I for one would not mind if the Psyscene dissociated itself and camped away from the playa streets and we formed our own colony
