Oh just something I found a little funny, in the track Erlkoenig .. at around 3:50.. a sample used of a males voice.. Has any heard Chris Isaac - Wicked Games.. Doesn't it sound similar?

Hehehe, so you guys noticed it too... I thought it was a bit dumb to put it in my review           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

after listening to it 10 or so times over the course of a month i finally realized that this album is totally genius on the creative/artistic side of things. however, it really took me a while to see what some of my friends were talking about because the first thing i noticed was that all the tracks are super muddy and flat. is it a case of a bad mastering job or something?

wow that poem the erl king is about as eerily inebriating as the album. It would have been cool if psykovsky sampled the schubert lied set to the same poem. It's really interesting to see two composers at the height of their powers and in completely differeny sonic worlds interpret the same words.

This album is superintelligent, I love it and in some way I know that I can listen it in 50 years without finding it "flat" or boring. I hope he reads this with a big smile ...

Just a comment.

I see that several people here "complain" about the overall quality in sound and mastering. I really disagree on this. Sure I'm not a expert on the area. But I can not see your point of view. I think the sound is superb and very strong. The first track is the only track that might seem "muddy". But that’s mainly because of the boom boom beats that comes and goes. It's supposed to sound like this people. This is not about plastic quality. It should be a little dirty and trippy. Everything in this album has a reason. It's intense. It's psychedelic. It's genius. It's trippy and it's magical. .. Point is. There is nothing wrong with the mastering or sound quality. Check your ears .. If Ott or any other engineers comments on this and proves me wrong. Then I guess I'm wrong. But I don’t think so. Thank you PSYkovsky. Thank you for the most trippylishes album in a time where tripper music is a rare thing.

Still: 10/10 .. ko-ko

That mastering thing is becoming an obsession for some people. The Greed album has also been slacked off by a great deal of people because somebody thought the mastering was off and other people jumped on the bandwagon. Psytones is right, there's nothing wrong with the mastering in this album.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

i really love this shit, the raw messy sound mmakes me far hornier then the clean baby ass sound.
and great compositions and structure in a psychedelic way, its what you can expect from a psy veteran.

there's a BIG problem with the mastering.
if i only listened to what have been said earlier here about it, i wouldn't have bought the cd.
true, i'm not an expert but i don't have to be. i got the cd yesterday, and i can't ignore the flattness of the sound. for a minute i thought my bass level was low, so i turned it up- this move just made me realise how bad the mastering is.
don't get me wrong; tracks 1, 2 and 3 are awesome and the rest are also pretty good, but the mastering is so bad, that even if i wanted to rate it 10/10, i just can't.
imo this album, as good as it is, should be remastered.

I can see that you dont understand and like psychedelic music with floor, walls and roof. I know perfectly well what you are talking about and which tracks/parts your referaing to. But no, you are so wrong. There is NOTHING wrong with the mastering, you just dont seem to understand, or like his vision. Do I have to elebarate? Do I have to convince you? =)
