I agree, psychedelia is gone...
I see very few albums being psychedelic.
Most tracks don t differ from techno tracks.
The desire that the audience had for psychedelia has been converted to desire for simple groovy styles, or strong kicks and basslines, things that are standard for the todays mastering for those who know.
In other words i think that most tracks today are produced as a routine by the artists.
This is not psychedelic art..

Although i dont usually aggree with Virava on many things i must admit that this is one of the most serious comments i have seen in Isratrance for many many years now,couldnt say it better myself.Spot on.
P.S Macmarios you mentioned ironically Madonna and Michael Jackson,well mate if you ask me Madonna and Michael Jackson were/are absolutely amazing artists with huge producers behind them that changed the way the world sees music in our days,although i also prefer music by the likes of Brian Eno and Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dreams and KLF and the likes i must admit that i have big respect for both Madonna and Michael Jackson and i think that you should do the same,i mean making fun of Vanilla Ice or Milli Vanilli or New Kids On The Block or other people like them is one thing but making fun of Michael Jackson is another.

Macmarios i dont know what make u talk like that because from the begginig i agree with u.U are Absolute Zero also and u were offensed that a myth like u in psy trance dont even know who the German psy trance artists were and are so u started to swearing?? U called me stupid? Did i call u stupid u filthy bitch? No i didnt so respect other and talk politely or next time u talk like that i break your head. When others respect u will respect them too.
If my opinion and knowledge on the psy trance scene is very strong and always with proof and u find yourself out of league then ask my advise and instead dont be offensive. I said that Germany was not techno (reffering to Germany psy tranfe artists at past times and now also) was totaly into psy trance scene and it was maybe the second country to represent psy trance music and first was Uk. Israel had a few artists and pioneers but not so many and huge, back then as Uk and Germany.
I reffered to almost 10 top psy trance groups with huge background and who did write history on the pure psy trance scene and they still write some of them. -And u reffered to Midi miliz and Spirallianz who are the same persons almost in order to procect your opionion??? pfff......lol!!!!!!!! Midi miliz is not even the 1/100 when it comes to music background , experience and talent, in compare with Boris Blen (Electric Universe,Jupiter 8000,Paradise Connection)Star Sounds Orchestra, Tim Schuldt (Four carry nuts,Ushyaya) Spies,Hara Gobi,Planet B.E.N.,Johann Bley (Juno reactor ,Mandragora) Haldolium,Digital Sun (Tarsis),Children of Paradise,Earth, Germinator,Kode IV ( a huge legend creating psy trance alike music from 1990...).

Its okay mate, my pleasure to remind u the albums of X-dream and i said that they are one of the pionners and Union Jack yes is another one.I dont want war with anyone neitheir i ask for it. I just cant stand when people play it smart especially when they are not and when they talk rude as soon as other talk politely to them. I am much mature that u are and this is why i know how to reply and dont be offensive like u when i have nothing more to say. I have to say that I don't support any of the Athen's promoters. But I respect some of them a lot.
I absolutely agree with macmarios that the scene is DEAD!!!
before a couple of years X-Dream were playing their killer tunes in front of, at least, 1000 people.
Marcus came to Lavabore and the crowd was at the very best situation 70 people (eleos)...
I remember the huge events @ Nr6 with 2000 (detox correct me if I am wrong...) and with some line ups that i could ever dream about... some of the best:
X-Dream + Dino Psaras
Kox Box + Texas fagot
SUN Project + Haldolium
Alien Project + Cosma
So in this period, every Saturday we had at least two parties with some very massive djs. Also the Sunrise Zone and Cyberfunk events are the most quality parties I have ever experienced. I was seeing James Monroe, Atmos, Joti in a monthly (or maybe 2 months) basis. Remember some events such as:
Blue Peter+ Wizzy noise
Atmos+ James Monroe @ NYE
Tim Schuldt + Bamboo forest @ +SODA
Dogma 3000 live
Psychaos live @ Amnesia
Hallucinogen live NYE @ + SODA
and many many more...
I don't see such quality events by this time of period (except from the weekend with Thomasz, Franke and Jan Boreli)
Also the greek trance scene had a "peak".
SDF 2002...
Massive sound, deco, thousands of people (most of them non greeks) and all of the respected artists you could imagine. This is the best "rave" ever happened in Greece and one of the best in the whole world (as Hallucinogen also admited).
So I think that all of us who were lucky have seen some massive events that won't be redone ever never again...
I think that by this time of period there is no such thing as a greek (or Athens better) trance scene. I can't say anything for Salonica since I had never been there to judge. I think that if the crowd had a better defined consciousness the scene would also have a strong core...
PS: someone mentioned something about the sound...

It's not only in trance but in a lot of places the sound is at a bad level. Its not always responsibility of the engineers or self called engineers, but there also other factors that affect a p.a.
For example I can set up a massive sound system, but it will cost something. It cost less if you minimise the quality along side with the budget.
So its not weird that trance parties sound "awfull" even the Eurovission qualification contest, was in a very bad sound. Instead it was taking place in one of the best sound systems in Greece (Athinon Arena), THEY MADE IT!!!!!!!!!!!

So to understand what u saying is that
1994 till 2002 there were big parties
since the same Artists come and new 1s in Smaller locations, can u tell me why
mabe i can explain
since then all these people making big parties then had big club more than 2000 capacity were doing the best trance parties in greece, like x dom, and nr 6 and some parties in pireas,and many more i know which police closed from 1999 till 2002, then very easily club owner in athens were very afraid and still are about this music this sceene has to offer.so mabe today u get clubs 2000 capacity mabe for very few eveents, so my qeustion is ..when u dont have big clubs for big events what do u do ,dont make at all and stop trance in general?
or make even in small clubs so people dont stop listening to the music they love. everthing has a reason 2000 has reason to happen 2006 2007 have reasons small parties happen the same orginizers then are still here, so i dont know why u complian ,better having same artists in a club 500 people and listenig the music u like, u complain about past , i think elvis prisley rocks bring him back then , we live each year with new parties new music new styles, live the fact
what people have today ,they give to u,any thing they can ,small small- big big

please then make some parties u self and show the world what a better place we live in..he eheh

Moonsun I'm too old to make parties.I experienced a lot of dificulties when I was in organisation.As for parties I want it to make last year a very nice event with live act Disossiactive which for me is the best Rusian act .I had everything in order and the budget for the event I was ready to cover it from my pocket.What happened? Well some people they wanted to take money from my event without putting their ass and help.So I decide that I don't want to participate with party organisation.This year I tried also to do something with and old ,respected and talanted dj/producer.Everything was ok.The dj agreed with me the flyers were ready to printed but some smart ass people put a small stone so I didn't came in agreement with the club owner even if before 10 days we made the agreement and I had ready the money for the event.So Moonsun you see I'm not tottaly out from the things and I tried to help the scene with money from my pocket.My goal was just to make the best indoor event and not to take money.Believe me I wasn't care about the money.I have my own good job and I had the ability to cover some things for the party without sponsors.But I see that I prefer to give money to artist and come to play in a private event for my friends.I prefer that.
