I think the EVP (Wildthings records) went to SAE. I also have a mate that's due to graduate from the London branch this year. According to him not only electronic musicians go there, from all walks of life as well...           elementoftime.net

SAE opens you another door. ppl that went there can understand better the sound. its just like a painter should learn anatomy.

tim schuldt went to SAE

I can attest that despite their high prices they are a brand of quality (at least the french implantations are, indian I hear are different) and only a fool can think he can self-teach himself all the theory and practice that is acquired during their audio eng degree curriculae.

hey thanx for all the replies already....

@ Fluo S. : thanx for your insight but this isnt quite the same post.... all im asking is who are the ARTISTS or DJ's that have gone to SAE, not whether if it was a good experience or not or which SAE is better...

it would be interesting to see if the list of artists who went to sae gets big

Do you need to go to SAE to learn how to produce music? I know people who say its just an elongated course which charges a hell lot for nothing more you cant learn else where!

you still can't match actually going to a place that has decent studio setups with professional equipment to use as part of your assignments. and not the setup at home with a couple of monitors and a 25 key midi controller

i guess it comes down the same 'going to college' vs studying on your own if you have the motivation dilemma... there's advantages on both sides, suiting individual needs depending on the type of person you are...

EVP or Alex didn't go to SAE and SAE is for everyone related with sound engineering, music production, electronic music(all in general), you have great tools, but it always comes down to what can you actually do!!!! (arrangement and so on)
Check also ALCHEMEA.... For electronic music production you have various courses but none for psy, have heard that in ISRAEL somebody opened a school of psy ....           Visit me
