Thank you PSI! No words, only appreciation. You are a great support for the scene, without you it will be definitely missing something. Looking forward for your next events!

We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love... and then we return home.

bonobo and kilowatts, about the speaker placement.. it's a compromise.

At the beginning, the speakers were all on stands, and they were too harsh in the high end, and not enough bass. That was before I had the subs, eq, crossover etc... So they were brought down to the ground. This tamed the high end and boosted the bass.

Once I added the subs, the nicer of the two pairs of traps were raised up on the subs, but the smaller (and more harsh sounding) pair remained on the ground. The primary pair are actually pretty good on their own and don't need so much from the second pair. If I was going to raise up the second pair I would probably eliminate the "surround" and put them on top of the primary pair, and eq them separately, or just tri-amp the system (it is bi-amped now, but I have more amps) and run them as midranges. This would give better phase alignment which makes for a more consistent sound across the whole dance floor. I think that if the second pair were just raised on stands it would result in worse phase problems with painful high end in places. One thing I like to be careful of is the potential for hearing damage, which is most likely to happen in the high end.

light-o-matic... that sounds cool... having the subs on the ground was definitely a nice effect - as was the surround sound effect... the only thing that got to me was how the highs would cut out if people walked in between me and the speakers as i was trying to lose my head in the psychadelic sounds...

I just wanted to extend everyone who came out a very heartfelt thank you for contributing to an AMAZING UNFUCKINGBELIEVABLE party! As Scotty so eloquently put in on sunday morning, this is the kind of event people will tell there kids about 10-20 years down the line when they're complaining about how "it's not like it used to be..."

Throwing a party of this magnitude is a lot of hard work, stress, and of course last minute bullshit, but you guys all came through and then some!

Ben, our resident lighting technician, sound engineer, chill out dj, and jack-of-all-trades extrordinaire, contributed black lights, sub woofers, amps, headphones, power cords, decorations, and a great warm up dj set! That was actually the best set i've heard you play in a long time (and that's a compliment, not an insult ..). THANK YOU!

Eitan and Mimi, your music and artwork are just incredible. As beautiful as the deco looked under the blacklight, i thought it was even more so with the sun rising behind it in the morning. Eitan, i enjoyed your set as always, especially the second half where you blended the dark and light to meet the twilight of day. For all your hard work and dedication THANK YOU!

Dave, Jaime, and Keith, i am lucky to call you guys my collaboraters and friends. For all your help in setting up, scoping out the site, and Dave for an awesome tag team set, THANK YOU! and for those of you who enjoyed our music, we are available for weddings and bar mitvahs...

Dave and Marria, it was a pleasure hosting you for one of our events (Marria for the 1st time in four years! ). the whole night i was picturing a beautiful morning progressive set with the sun shining down over the field, and you delivered the goods and then some. THANK YOU! I'm already looking forward to playing for you guys in Boston.

Greg, you came through at the last minute, and your music and enthusiasm were infectious. Even all the proggy snobs were bouncing around bringing in the sunrise with your set! THANK YOU!

Theo, you handled every promoter's worst nightmare without skipping a beat. For someone just beginning to make their mark on the scene, you acted like a consummate professional. THANK YOU!

Chad, thank you for contributing the extra subs and booth monitors. The sound was really at another level this time. THANK YOU!

Josh, THANK YOU! for designing and printing the flyer.

Sam, THANK YOU! for designing, registering, and upkeeping the website.

And Scotty, lol, thanks for helping me refill the generator. I'm thinking we might actually turn it off next so as not to put us in harm's way THANK YOU!

We will be back in action on Saturday August 20th with the TOUCH Samadhi boys. Hope to see you all there!!!

Cheers,
Pat

I did not write anything earlier so I am going to do it now.
The party was magical.
I was very surprised to see send instead of 2 feet grass.
The stage was beautifully decorated, clean and sharp .
for the organizers. Keep on
.-= We are searching for something that is already found us =-.
