Saturday, July 23rd (rain or shine)
11pm - 11am, a full 12 hours of music!
A Free Open Air Full Moon Tribal Gathering For Music, Dance, Art, Free Expression, and Peace in the scenic Pine Barrens of Southeastern New Jersey. A trancendental dance experience, a pagan celebration, a return to the HALCYON days of goa.
Please join us for an evening of psychedelic trance in a beautiful open air forest setting under the light of the full moon.
Location is approximately 1 hour from Philadelphia and 2 from from NYC. Directions will be sent out in the week preceding the event.

Having grown up on psychedelic rock and funk, Eitan caught the psytrance bug in Jerusalem in 1997, and the patterns morphed as they unfolded ever since. His musical journey has taken him around the world and to outer and inner space. His dark, hard-driven sets pull dancers deeper into the night, tickling their spines, and pulling out the rug from underneath their feet. After a rousing performance at the Gaian Mind Festival, be prepared for a blistering night time set for his first PSI appearance.
DAVE HENSHAW (Sonic Beating, Changmian - Boston)
Former resident of Boston's legendary weekly "Anitya," Dave Henshaw has become a MASS-hole propagator of the progressive psychedelic sound. He's shared lineups with the likes of Antix, Ticon, Beat Bizarre, Noma, Son Kite, Oryx and Emok - all whose music appear regularly in his sets. Be he babbling on the trance lists or playing behind the decks - Dave is rarely without something to say.
Eg~Bot & Mescalinium (Psy Planet, Gaian Mind, PSI - Philadelphia/NYC)
Best known for their merciless tag team sets, for the first time, these two pine barrens veterans will be presenting their unique blend of "hillbilly trance." Expect a twisted journey into the blackest hours of the night. Smooth yet crunchy, raw yet refined, psychedelicious and immensely satisfying. The sound of the Philly Underground!
With a groovy intro set by:
Ben Light-o-Matic (Light-o-Matic Productions/PSI, New York)
Plus some very special guests from out of town... way out of town!
Sound by PSI and Light-o-Matic Productions. 5000W of raw power.
UV artwork by Mizue (Gaian Mind) and Psy Planet.
Black Light decor and visual stimulation by the Light-o-Matic Crew.
Visual projections by DT.
And of course the sacred circle of fire.
We will most likely have extra space on the generator, so feel free to bring any extra black lights, decorations, projections, visuals, etc.
This is a free party and open to all. Suggested donation is $5-10 per person to help cover expenses.
Although we are praying to the meteorological demigods for nice conditions, please be prepared for inclement weather since this event is RAIN OR SHINE. It can also get unseasonably cold in the forest, so be sure to bring warm clothing as well.
Water, chai, fruits, sweets, and other snacks will be available, but feel free to bring extra water and food so there will be enough for everyone.
Due to security concerns, there will be NO FIRES PERMITTED WHATSOEVER!!!
(fire dancing/poi is ok)
Other Stuff To Bring:
Tents/camping gear, ponchos/rain gear, blankets, flashlights, drums, SHOVELS (just in case  , good vibes, incense, tapestries, decorations, friends family children and pets, black lights, visuals, herbal refreshments, trash bags, toilet paper, and anything you feel will add to the communal experience.
The location, a forest clearing, is a gorgeous, pristine oasis of nature in its purest form. We must respect the land and LEAVE NO TRACE. Please take care of all personal items/trash etc. (especially non-biodegradable cigarette butts!).

Background info
Since 2002, the Philadelphia Shamanista Initiative (PSI) has put together some of the most memorable open air psy-trance events in the new york/philly region. Having single-handedly revitalized the outdoor party scene 3 years ago with the infamous Acid Reflux parties, and with 2 wildly successful events last summer, HALCYON will once again bring together the cosmic forces that guarantee a fully trancendental experience.

Oh yes, no Laser light shows, either please, that will attract waaaay to much attention to the party, there was guy in Jersey who was showing off his new laser pointer to his family, and he shined the laser up in the sky and almost blinded some pilots flying overhead, and he is now facing serious federal charges. There was this big article in the times about it, a laser show will be visible to pilots everywhere for a hundred miles.

The advice about the sand is crucial... I got a car stuck in the sand in barbados, and the tire trick would have saved my ass if I had been aware of it at the time... |
