hello people from isra!!!

I dont know around the wolrd, but here in Brazil it seems to me that nowadays progressive its like a fashion here...everybody likes progressive...

I started listening fullon, but since 2004 i like and listen progressive!!

This "fashion", could be a result of the sucess of artists like: D-nox, beckers etc etc, that wasn´t known here, and now they??

Another question: If is a fashion thing, i guess one day will pass, but, when pass, the good producers will keep coming to Brazil, or they will be renegaded by the party producers??

thats some questions to be thought!!

you god damn right it is....

i realy liked this music in 2001/2...in 2003/4 it got very housy..but still the parties were underground and the crowd was great..

last year it turn into a 2nd house scene both the music and the parties/crowd...and you can see prog line up at parties from org's who use to make the most commercial full on parties.i moved on.....

imo todays prog got nothing to do with trance or psychedelic...oh well at least we still have 3 or 4 labels who still keep the fire burning...           Always agressive never progressive.

IF Progressive will take over, it will became cheap crap as Fullon became. Just remember it, there is no fashion made by something, we the ones who make fashion!

Not true. Progressive comes in so many different forms, full on on the other hand is always the same. That bassline we all have heard 1000 times and hate to our guts, a drug sample, lousy melody.. in progressive there are no rules

IMO todays progressive is pretty much the only thing psychedelic (other than twisted recs ) you can still find in this "scene"..

Full on is so predictable. You always know what's going to happen next. In progressive on the other hand..           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

I don't like the word fashion. I don't follow it. I follow what moves me. I prefer the word passion. 2005 is very progressive year; but still full on is the dominant Trance. I enjoy both worlds. But I consider prog as deeper experience. Ticon, FREq Yotopia and more are unique. prog is psychedelic an who thinks its not, Haven't been in the right parties, maybe, or his standards of psychedelic mode are different than mine.

I think in trance in general there are no rules, in fullon they put the same sounds over and over again while in proggy they are using different sounds deeper more spiritual that is why people like it more. It all depends on the production, on the feeling generated by the artist and no matter the style as long as it is deep spiritual and dripping with psychedelic then it's great. Even ambient trance is a great music and for me is much more intelligent than progressive for example. I think fashion is exactly what a trance person really hates we do not want fashion we want a tribe like it is in reality. Fashion is like any other music and any other material thing so it sort of gets used and abused and then makes space for the next fashion! Trance when it's good is forever!

Some prog releases are very psychedelic (Jaia's Fiction pops immediately to mind) but alot are just down-right housy and are not more mind bending than regular trance (which is still pretty trippy of course). I mean I love album's like Antix's "Twin Coast discovery" but put that side to side with Rinkadink's "Rabbit from darkside", Scorb's "Scorb", or anything out on twisted records ... There's a definite lack in bizarre other-wordly melodies and sounds. But I agree that a whole lot of israeli type fullon nowadays is getting boring, repetitive and definitely un-psychedelic, long live prog !           Row row row your boats gently down the stream; merrily merrily merrily merrily life is but a dream.

true. the ones that i like are those who use psychedelic elements in their progressive sound (i don't mean to promote but just to give a few examples for what i mean: Sensient, Yotopia, Behind Blue Eyes, Meller etc.) but the majority is IMO just a crowd that still likes the UV clothes, Ganja and nature, and subconsciously loves House . it could have been Deep Dish playing in Samothraki and no one would notice.
btw, there's nothing wrong with that, it's just that sometimes i miss the psychedelic atmosphere at parties, and i think it's the music to blame. same goes for the Cheesy Clubby Full-on that is unfortunately very successful nowadays

exectly!!

one thing though...as i said most prog this days is just house...

thats why i dont like ppl put great psy artists like sensient in the same category with all those house acts.its disrespect imo.

my 2 cents.
