I suppose you need a shelter if like 50 police officers are injured because of the people there?

of course they won't run over crowd with a tank.
they start with beating people - to make rules of law clear to those who still dont get it. and if they still dont get it - then for sure the tank will be helpful.

1) They tell people not to go there
2) They tell people to leave continuosly for hours and hours
3) They start approaching the people with riot gear on cos they still haven't left
4) People throw broken bottles and other shit at them and in general behave violently.. as in 45 police officers are injured
5) Police shows force to those who it's needed to.. around 25 people are injured
They did it by the book. Another question is whether this action was needed in the first place. I think not but it's not the police fault who were there. It's the people who ordered the raid.. they're just doing their work FFS

i dont support people who insult policemen at raids, or whereever. and when i am asked not to move and stay where i am at - i will do so.
but if i am kicked down to the ground i will ask why at least. |

So was anyone who did what was told kicked down? I think not..
Look it's very important to follow whatever orders the police give you. It's not like they're dying to use force. They need to have the authority cos if you don't respect that they'll have no other options.. "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

illegal gathering and thus breaking the law, whilst private property
destroyed. These "so called music lovers" created havoc and millions of
Czech crowns in damages last year when this same activity was staged.
I can assure you that Czechs, having faced police brutality in former
Czechoslovakia, proceeding the fall of Communism in 1989, do not
welcome
such police actions, but when the law is broken, such actions are
inevitable and such police actions have been taken in all other EU
countries and the Czech Republic is no exception.
I can assure you that Czechs love all types of music.
Czech music is also very well appreciated in Malta.
By the way, Tourism in the Czech Republic is booming at the moment.

ok guys, I am not going to read all your discussion here, I am tired of reading discussion forums now since I've read tons and tons of messages at our czech forums....
I saw your post at our forum kemic-al, but czech ppl are having discussions elsewhere in the cyberspace... all of the psyfreaks from CZ are there...
I wasnt at the place personaly, but I was checking the situation all the time since the beginning.
The fact is this is all about personal freedom and human rights.
The police first blocked the route to the LEGAL place of this festival and said, that it is not legal place. NOT TRUTH. When the agreement appeared in the medias, they said, owner canceled it. NOT TRUTH.
They started to beat people just for nothing and said, it is because the damage on the other fields next to the place and this is not legal happening.
Well no damage would happen, if they were not blocking the route to the place. So people were just trying to find other ways to their legally obtained place.
Right now, big protests are held in Prague, Brno and Ostrava. Prague had about 3-5000 people yesterday if I am correct. Not only the travellers, but normal people with no connection to the dance music are coming, because they dont agree what police can do based od lies.
they act like: beat them now and we will find the reason later. This is not possible in a democratic country!

this is bullshit, the organizers get the agreement for this festival, it was held on private property, field which is soon going to be some industry area with big halls etc... the owner agreed with it and had no problems.
no millions of czech crowns in damages last year... this is just what the government says. The field was looking the same in month after the party...
due the police actions, the damage is much bigger this year....
