what i am going to say is proberly not going to be taken to well around here , but i think it must said...
To begin with , IN RIOTS YOU ONLY GET FUCKED UP IF YOU RESIST THE POLICE. this is fact. i can bet you that the majority of the people who got fucked up there got fucked up cos they resisted the law....now i am not argueing whether or not what they did was right or wrong, i am saying that action and reaction are always going to be linked.
If a law official tells you to do somthing and you disobey, this gives him/her according to whichever conuntires constitution the right to carry out the action of law preservation , if you resist , then you do that at your own pereal.
there are time to fight and there are times to walk away....if you are surrounded by many police you walk away!! Just briefly looking at the those pictures carefully...i see alot of resistance by the partiers in the pictures involving police.....this will lead to beating!
so what are the causes....we dont know exactly, in all probableness it was a political move and i dont agree with it , but if law was being broken in the area...vandilism?? but more likerly drug abuse then surely according to a countires law these count as breaking the law. Rather walk away peacefully , and stand to fight another day, its funny, but incidents like this seem to let or our ideals or lack of those leak out.....what do we stand for?? Peace? Love? Hate? Agrresion?
my next pointis this....its really cute all of you sending your letters and what not...BUT...do you really think any of those authorities are going to give a fuck!! Honestly now...in Zimbabwe(the country next to mine) the government has demolished the homes of 200 000 people..destroyed their possesions, beat them, raped them, and left alomst 2 million people in the winter cold.....
and you want to compare that to some poor trancers who got smaked with a night stick for resisting police order?
no first world countries are doing anything about the autrocities in Zimbabwe, i dont hear you all crying out and petitioning...thats the thing about trancers..full of ideals...but selfish and spineless...i hate to say this, but trancers only seem to fight for anything or bitch about anything when it directly effects them, or issues which pertain not to society!
for example...in south africa...some baby elephants which belonged to a circus were gona die or somthing or some shit like that , so all the tree-huggers and hippy community marched up and down, chained themselves to shit, blah blha,......but wait everyday in south africa there are 10's of rapes and murders, i dont see them marching about that??? so what is the bigger picture....
the fact is the scene has become saturated by evil....money...everyone wants a bit....drugs are intergral, its all a big fuck up , standing for no true ideals, no specialness....just another oppurtunity to get fucked.....because thats how the authorities see us.....just a bunch of fucked people on fucked up drugs....fucking loosers, the dropouts...
anyways if you wanty to come to parties that have no police problems, come to South Africa, oh we stil have party mafia, its just more discrete.

I sent some emails to finnish representatives in the European parliament and demanded Czech to be kicked out of EU unless official apology and explanation is given

Police in heavy suits without identifying numbers refused to give
identifying information, information about their command and information
about first aid location.
And now I feel like a fool.. Look at the pics. All the cops are clearly wearing the identifying tags. Makes me wonder how much is actually true about all this. In riots the police only "harm" people who are not complying. It's in their right to act if you refuse to do what they say.
Where ever kemic-al got this article from.. it's clearly very biased and doesn't tell the truth..

So did you notice how the article you posted was lying?
In a finnish article it said that 80 people were injured.. and out of those 80, 45 were police officers.. "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

in Russia human rights and freedom of speech are violated every day, as well as in many other parts of modern world. i can see your point, of course!
this is a topic about particular case and similar ones, and being a tree-hugger myself i dont find this discussions at all spineless, because it is a part of global awareness and for sure i have no idea about many afwul incidents that happen in our world every day and night.
what you going to do if the law official do not ask you anything at the party raid and just kick you down to the ground? can you voice a protest safely, not being considered a riot and kicked again to shut up?

PRAGUE, Aug 1 (Reuters) - The Czech president said on Monday a police crackdown which injured dozens at a rave was a grave mistake that split the country, adding that politicians may have overstepped the constitution in ordering it.
Police used teargas, water cannon, stun grenades and batons on Saturday to end the party in a meadow near the village of Mlynec in southwestern Czech Republic, near the German border.
Thousands of people demonstrated outside the Interior Ministry on Monday, protesting against what they called brutal police action.
The office of President Vaclav Klaus, a former chief of the right-wing opposition Civic Democrats, said in a statement: "Those who approved the intervention bear full responsibility for damaging trust in the police and creating another split in our country."
The police action was ordered by the local police chief and backed by Interior Minister Frantisek Bublan and Social Democrat Prime Minister Jiri Paroubek, who both said police acted to uphold the law.
On Monday, Paroubek said in a statement he was sorry for the injuries on both sides, and that the action would be evaluated by the Interior Ministry's internal affairs division.
The president's statement said the intervention was a "grave mistake" and demanded an explanation from the centre-left government.
"The president will further follow the investigation of this case and demand an explanation from the government why there was such police intervention," it added.
"It is also necessary to find out if some political steps before the police intervention, and during it, did not go beyond the framework of the constitution," the statement said.
Klaus does not have much executive power but his views are taken seriously by many politicians.
The interior minister was quoted by Czech media as saying he and Paroubek had planned how to respond to the party in advance.
The party's organisers said they had a contract to use the meadow, but police said they were asked by owners of neighbouring land to halt the concert because their property was being damaged.
TV footage showed some party-goers throwing bottles and rocks at the policemen.
