I declare that I am done with downloading and pirating software and music.
Not all my current tools and music are legal, but from this day on I will no longer download illegal software or music.
If there is something I want I will buy it, and if I can't afford it I will turn to legally free music and software alternatives from now on.

This is something that I should have said long time ago - but never mind - Ill do it now: I sick and tired of this self pity attitude of artists in this Scene - it's a general wake up call not a personal:
Do you want to sell more - to make more money from albums than from parties? You have to realize and stop blaming emule:
1. Promotion: let ppl know you exist: go to the media and don't w8 it to come 4 you. Don’t let the label do the job. Talk to the ppl who write. In that aria my conscience is clean: I'm doing my best in Layla to let ppl know about the music good reviews, bad reviews. Article…. its like a stage. Go to the internet Mainstream Media. Try!
The Television and radio. Do not sit on your ass. Self promotion is the key.
Advertisement - on the newspapers on the streets – you are musicians music is a tool of communication - use it.
The media will reject you? don’t give up - get yourself an interview in channel 24 make them now that trance isn’t just Skazi
Widen the awareness of the media to you than the awareness of the ppl will be bigger.
Average trance album does not reach the 10000 copies. And I tell you it's possible to
Reach 100,000. How?
2. Stop coping Astrix! Make your music special. B.p.empire sold way over 100,000. Why? Not it's not the name "infected mushroom" – its a mile stones in music its rare and unique album. So be creative and stop using formulas. Take trance to new directions! Make it new different and like something no one ever heard before.
That is the way to reach over 100.000. It will not happen in one year. It will take time but "be the change you want to see" it's possible.
About the price: 60-80 nis it to much - sorry. And most of the albums today do not worth 10 Agorot.

You are not downloading. as an artists you want to support artist, right?. But artist must support first him self.

Maybe because when music becomes a matter of acquired taste, then most of them get filetered out.
Ex: 1000 People apply for a job, 10 get slected... The rest move on to get a diff job

Not signing this one.
I was using the P2P networks as a filter for the good music worth purchasing and i will continue to do so till there's a better option.

you are absolutety right, thats the way to do it, but if everybody would start doing that trance scene can easily become commercial mtv-like shit... maybe it should exist the line between mainstream psy or progressive trance and music that is made for basements and forests... But, nooo everything IS 'underground' today... Yeah my ass... its nothing psychedelic in nowsays PSYtrance... |
