My mom doesn't really care . . .

My dad is the openminded one . . .
He doesn't have a problem listening to trance, but not for too long.
Although he enjoys listening downtempo/ambient/chill-out very much.

my dad is really open minded about music, he used to be into the older rock like creedence and the dead , but recently has been listening to some of my tunes.....he does ecstacy occasionally, smokes alotta charas (lucky me) and loves to jump around to some trance once a while........

but my mother...... she hates it........ calls it "drug music" ......
parents are separated tho...... and i stay with mum
but considering my dads behavior id say its fair since things have their own way of evening themselves out......

Heh really intersting topic.I live with my mom and she is really cool about it,i can't remember when was the last time she said turn the volume down or something similar even when i played my thunderdome cd's as a kid.
She came to my room when i was listening to Ticon - Some Simple Sounds and Atmos - Scent Of A Tunnel and said that these tracks are great.

hehe my parents don't even understand any difference , even if I listen to vision and canendy or jirah it's the same
just bougou-bougou iou-iou shit for them
But it's ok with the volume as long as the house is not shaking
After midnight I have to look like
if I want to listen music loud.
They just advise me to listen to normal music from time to time.
The difficult part is when they hear stories about drugs at partys etc.
But I know how to chill them out           Aει ο θεος ο μεγας γεωμετρει το συμπαν = 3,1415926

For the people whose parents think that parties are all about drugs, get them to actually go to a party. My mom used to think that too until she came with my dad to an outdoor festival and they both really liked it. My mom, a classical music teacher who has been taught all her life that anything other than Rachmaninoff or Shostakovich is not music, has a bit of trouble with the harder music, but doesn't complain at all. As for the dad, I consciously forget cd's in his car and when I tell him that I forgot such and such a cd, he tells me to leave it in the car for a couple more days. hehe           Load Universe into Cannon. interesting topic...

Well, my dad is very open mind with music, he used to heard pink floyd and im sure he was crazy as i am.
He like's more trippy stuff as i do.
and mom... well, she used to say: Is it the same track?, could you please turn the volume down?
some times she likes some track, and she just stay near to me and start dancing. she liked disco and funky music, and when she start dancing, nobody can stop her, she like groove psytrance tracks, something like Orion, beside that, Orion its my favourite psytrance artist.
after 2 months out mexico, she say she's missing a lot hearing trance. (instead of miss her son)

My situation is pretty much the same like many that have posted before me. My mom thinks I'm totaly crazy and gets a headache after hearing my music for more then 10 minutes. But she really likes Ambient, and once when I took her to an outdoor party she really enjoyed her self. It didn't change her oppinion about my music though.

My Dad on the other hand, was the one who introduced me to electronic music, so once in a while when I pay him a visit he makes copys of my new CDs =)

I guess its the heavy kick thats the hard part for my mom, but other then that i somtimes jam with my mother and sister, i let them record when they play the synth, they are much much better than me in playing, i have alot to thank my mother for, see has thought me to listen to all kinds of music... and how to play some keyboard... and also my grandmother who let me play the piano when i was a little kid

once i did a tune based on a tune my mom learned me too play, it came out pretty well...

Go mom! i love you
