Parents reaction to Psy Trance?

well ive been listenin to psytrance since ive been stayin abway from home....so my mom has no clue about it.......but back then i use to listen to loads of heavy metal.......she used to hate the music but used to lemme listen at a low volume........she used to like housy tunes and regular trance tracks........

when i lived home it was a not so bad.. i was doing music all the time and always this banging bass..
but i didnt care of them 
when they scream turn the volume down! i said turn your voice down!!! i turn it down when im finnish
later they didnt have power to care anymore..
now when i live along much better now i can play 24/7.. poor neighbers tho..

my parents used to bother me a lot like many already posted with " turn that off", "when it will sing" hahahah but since they knew i was very deep into this both of them started to critize it hehehe without knowing... however is nice of their part hahah  |

But what your dad says is crap imo... why should you listen to something else because someone doesn't like/understand your music... why should you listen to what people what you to listen to? Weird...

seriously....
Goa 1980's
(but they dont like all the music thats around these days........ to heavy for them... once or twice a year my mom still has small outdoor parties in our house and land in Goa... and all her old friends are there and they play the older stuff...

really really nice.. but 80's Goa music? care to explain and perhapps mention a few acts? Sorry if i seem nosy, but it's interesting.

no you are right.... the music in the early 80's was not 'psytrance' people just played trippy acid rock, fusion world music, and early electronic music into a wierd mix...
eventually people started making more dance oriented electronic music in Europe and it would find its way to the parties in Goa first... its hard for me to remember exact years.. but I think by the time I was around 7 years old (1985) the music at the parties was totally electronic.
There were no 'acts'.. . just DJ's playing all sorts of electronica
When the first psytrance played in Goa, I am not exactly sure because over the years it was all such a smooth transition. and a lot of the psy-trance ideas were actually born there, so there is no actual switch-over
But Goa has never really been about acts... lots of the people who partied there were the ones who later became artists, or started festivals and trance scenes in other parts of the world
Even though psytrance has officially, in terms of records companies, releases, artists and labels, been around since the early 90's... the actual parties in Goa, wether the music was psytrance or not, did not really make much of a difference... they were still 'trance parties' in terms of the vibe, the types of people, the drugs , the dancing, the morning etc... 
for those of you who are curious, even though I was at some of these parties from a really early age... the first time I actually took anything was around 18.

Well, my parents don't really like the harder stuff like Skazi and Fungus Funk, but my mum loves Shpongle and Hallucinogen (Well, who wouldn't after 1000+ listening hours? ). My mum has started to talk with me about drugs basicly everyday now. And she's really bothered when I go to parties and stuff. "Stay away from the drugs!"
My dad is quite careless. I can listen to what I want as long as I keep the volume down a bit. Anyways, he started dancing around one evening I showed him some Skazi That was really fun....
He was making fun of the music tough.

my mom is polish to and she always said ohh god again this bapa bupa but doesnt bother me much cos i dont live with my parents many years now
my father crazy jazz drummer never could anderstand 4/4 beat but he likes drumm and bass (why..???)
overall i like my mom a lot she smokes a joint with me now and then heheheh!!!! she is realy funny after

hehehe... well ive been told that line as well! not to mention " your windling away your future"
but all that changed when my mom heard my sister listen to those rap albums with the explicit lyrics,then it became "why cant you be more like your brother,at least his music is pure!"
