Great topic! Refreshing.
My mom didn't like it at first, but she got used to it. I can't say she likes it, but she doesn't shout for me tu turn the volume down.
And now she even thinks my psychedelic clothes are cool and wants to wear them.. hehe           Majority is never right!

My parents are both "Raja Rams" (know how to play many instruments)

I ask my father to drive me to trance parties once in a while (because I don't have a driver's license yet).
That's very cool, I think

Also, sometimes when me and my father are alone at home, I put some loud music and he doesn't care.
He even likes Lish,Logic Bomb and Telefon Tel Aviv.

My mother hates virtually everything boom boom tsss, even shpongle.
My sister kinda follows her blindly, too bad.

My ambient albums mysteriously dissapear and are later found at my dad's car. My mom, well she doesn't mind. And my syster grabs some ambient from me every now and then.           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

my mother sister and brother cant appericate good trance music so i try to psycho bable their minds with the fact that if they dont give it a listen then they are not "open minded"
and everyonce in a while i can even make them say that a certain shpongle or some such track is musicly good...
but all in all they are quiet unappercative of this kind of music (too bad for them when i give them a lift in my car )           i think it is the mind's right to die befor the body, but alas it is the body who is stronger in its will to perish...

"Turn down the volume!"
"Turn it down more!"
"Good"

My mom likes Infected though.. "like" is relative.. I mean she doesn't tell me to turn it off

heh i used to listen to mainly 'classical' music 7 or 8 years ago, and then gradually moved to goa trance -> psy trance.

Anyway, one day a while ago when i was living at home my mum asked what i listened to these days. So I stuck on some classic tune (can't remember what... something like etnica - vimana or similar banging tune).

So she starts jumping around and says 'maybe i should take an ecstacy tablet' which i thought was funny cos if she knew I'd even had a toke on a joint then she would flip out in a major way:)(doesnt matter that I left home ages ago)

My parents don't care about what music I'm listening to - they don't like it anyway...

Though my dad recently asked me a question:"What is Chill out music? Do you make it?"

well, my folks listen most of the time to classic muzak so the trance noises and electronic tunes that get out of my room r not their cup of tea...
but they got used for that so no more complains...
anyway, in two monht i'll be out of home so i could take the windows out of its frames
great topic btw, very original

He's a foreigner. I think he's probably Samoan. But that doesn't matter, though, does it? Are you prejudiced?
