Besides the Organic shop and ChaosUnlimited, will there be any other online stores (i.e. psyshop, trance-shop, saikosounds) that will sell this?

And congrats btw for getting the job done, I look forward to putting this to the aural test           To hell with reality! I want to die in music, not in reason or in prose. This is where you come in, EYB. Because you came up with the idea I think you should maybe start your own record label to do these benefit CDs. Go for it!

PS. I hope you've pre-ordered your copy

Damn that tracklist. Shpongle, Hallu and Juno are released already, and the other artists aren't worth buying a CD for.

Now the question is, do I want to fork over 15£ for a CD I'll never listen to even if it's for charity?

No, i don't think so. There are other ways of helping people who need help.
And why should u do know, if u did not wanted before, just because of this cd? And coz all people in this thread say that they buy it? I think this would be wrong.

Please, please, please don't start to be a bunch of whinging gits. Do you wanna try putting together a triple album in 2 weeks and have all the tracks unreleased?

1st, the real nightmare was dealing with alot of the band's managers and record labels, who, before we'd even finished our sentence on the phone flatly told us there's no way we could have an unreleased track. No way, no haggling no bargaining.

Then, those same people found out that, despite the fact they were happy for their artists to not get paid any money from this, that THEY weren't going to make any money from this, well then the real trouble started. Delay tactics. Threats to report us to MCPS or other nonsense. Refusal to co-operate. Every tactic you could think of to cause a hiccup... including lying about having sent the masters.

This has been an absolute nightmare to put together. The amount of work involved to get it done, and the amount of negotiations, has not been surpassed except perhaps by Sir Bob himself.

So you all want unreleased tracks. What? You think Juno Reactor and Shpongle etc just have a bunch of tracks knocking about that they can go... 'ooh, well, we'd better keep these aside incase there's a disaster.. in case someone wants to put together a CD in 2 weeks... hmmm yes.'

Alot of the bands on this album are so heavily signed into long, heavy duty recording contracts, it'd take weeks just to untangle the legal mess for them to write a track for another label. I'm not kidding. Really. We pushed harder than you probably imagine just to get the tracks we got, without having to draw up 30-page record contracts and deal with the unbelievably slow, heavily-overbeaurocratic MCPS. If we'd done all that, this album would be coming out next Christmas. Would you have bought it then? And we're not even starting with the amount of time it takes to write a fresh track... most of these artists are away on tour somewhere, or have other commitments.

So 40% unreleased or unique remixes isnt enough. Ok fine, don't buy it. That sort of attitude is the sort of attitude that we're not really looking for anyway. Its the same attitude that copies CDs instead of buying them because there's only 1 or 2 tracks you didnt already download from the net.

What you get for your money (and the full price from us is £15 including taxes, post, packing.. NOT 'more than £15') is more than fair we think.... 3 CDs of the best of the current scene, a great cross-section of music ranging from electronica, chill-out, world music, trance, and progressive (yup, when you read the sleeve notes, for those of you who can wait for the surprise we'll be unleashing of the beautiful artwork we're designing, you'll see a few names that might surprise you).. all for the same price that 1 CD would normally cost, and presented in a beautifully designed box set. And most of the tracks are ones that I play out, all over the World, so you're also getting my personal representation of the best that's out there, laid out like a DJ set, just as if I was playing them to you at the best outdoor festival by the beach somewhere, except without the beat-mixing.

In fact, there's enough unreleased music on here that it could have been all on one CD, and cost what it does. But we wanted to give you more. We wanted to give you all the best album we could in the time we had available. I mean the chill-out CD... its absolute prefection. The album is worth buying just for the chill-out CD alone. But no, you get more! You get new music I've written myself... the best of what my label has to offer, the best tracks from my record label, that we were saving for our future releases, for our big plans and our retirement... all, on this album!

And undoubtedly you get some awesome tracks, that are released, but you wouldnt have thought about had you not heard them on this CD.

WE ARE PERFECTIONISTS. ALL OF US HERE AT ORGANIC. WE WANT TO GIVE YOU NOTHING BUT PERFECTION!!

So please, please, please, wait to see the album, hear it, see what we've done with the music.. alot of bold artistic expressions.. things that no-one has done before... experience it as a piece of ART..

..then make up your mind. Not just by looking at the tracklisting. Thank you. And, remember the real reason for this CD being made inthe first place.

You don't have to buy it do you? Think of it as spending 15£ on charity and receiving a free cd in exchange... if you don't want to spend 15£, then don't... or just donate 5£ or something yourself...           To hell with reality! Wow ... Chris, i just gotto say bravo for your great work on this release. Unreleased or not you acctuly get 3 cd's with great acts. And I doubt that the people around here got all of these tracks in original ... If you do, i would urge you to buy it anyway and give it to your friends birthday ect ... It's 15 pounds ..

I get my paycheck from work tomorrow.. I will buy it as soon as the money arrives to my bank account.

Once again, great work and a "bravo" to all of the involved people..

(One thing thou, I shure wished that it would be another track from Infected then the Elevation mix that got "selected" .. But we cant all be pleased can we)

peace... I belive the tsunami hype will be over soon ... .

Well somebody just have to whine. Somebody will even rip the CD and put it online. And someone will even download it and whine about this cd having too much released tracks. I pitty you. You can't see beyond 5 meters of your rooms, cubicles and cars.
Chris, way to go. Not everybody knows and appreciates the hard work you did. For these ppl the hardest thing to do will be to find these tunes and download them.

Wow, I just downloaded this CD from Soulseek, and it is totally killlleeeerr!!!!

Kidding....

Just pre-ordered my copy, and definitely look forward to hearing it! Released or not, the tracklist is a nice one for somebody like me who has been really lazy about keeping up with psytrance & downtempo releases for the last year.

And £15 for a 3CD set (shipping included) is a fantastic deal!
